Information from DCL or lack of?

That said they really are running out of time and I will be surprised if we don't hear anything about at least the August sailings in the next 48 hours.

The last three cancellation notices were on 6/8, 5/14, and 4/15. I'm speculating we'll hear something this week on September cruises, and perhaps the remaining San Diego cruises. (I'm on an Oct sailing from San Diego)

If there's pending CDC comms that DCL knows about then any speculation is probably meaningless. But, what else is there to do? 🤣

We're on a September sailing from San Diego and would love to get some information. It seems that there has been zero information about the Wonder!

...what about DCL (that's right, Disney)!? Even the you tube cruise vloggers have nothing, nada, zero, ziltch info on Disney!! Come on...anyone pulling their hair out yet? 😨🤤😕

We booked New Year 2021 (B2B with our already paid for Christmas cruise). The FCC from September will cover the second leg. But I REALLY want to sail in September.

Ugh - that's not appealing at all. We're sailing (hopefully? supposedly?) Jan. 2022 on the Fantasy. I really hope towards the end of the year they start to communicate these policies better and more transparently; and/or resolve them if things continue to get better, the CDC eases restrictions, etc. If you're vaxxed you do NOT need to wear a mask while working out. That's just crazy. What about running on the track? no thanks...

I agree with most people here that DCL has a done bad job of any communication at all. Not even a "we're trying and here's what we know" even if what they know or are planning on is little to nothing. Radio silence = bad; at least trying to communicate with some sincerity= good.

Just feeling frustrated like to so many others here...

Have to admit, this type of restriction for a fully vaccinated passenger is not very appealling. Being fortunate to be in a state with a high level of those vaccinated, I don't have to book a time at the gym or wear a mask there while working out. It will be tough to pay alot of money and go back to this-for vacation. My cruise is at the end of this year-Decmeber 31st. Not sure this is how I want to spend my NYE. Also feeling frustrated

I agree with you completely - it's also hard seeing cruise lines like Celebrity sailing with few restrictions (and greater vaccination). The vaccine should be available for younger Americans in the fall - that may help get the % vaccinated up on family oriented cruse lines like Disney. We have a September cruise and then 2 in December - I hope by the end of the year we are not having to book every last activity in advance. I don't think I will sail if that is the case. Everyone will feel differently, and we just have to wait until they are more forthcoming with information (which almost certainly will change with time).

Biggest issue here is when DCL did their previous cancellations on 6/8, 5/14, and 4/15, they cancelled cruises that were mostly 60-90 days out. We are now 34 days from the Dream's Aug 9th sailing.

The silence is deafening.

This is exactly why I cancelled my August 16 Dream cruise. I am fully vaccinated and so are my children … life is returning to normal. I don’t want to pay full DCL prices for a very limited experience.

We are going to WDW instead where the restrictions are lifting

I just wish there was some info so I can switch vacations. Planning WDW trip for December is so
stressful. The only possible acceptable "switch out" to the family is the cruise.

I just love DCL. I book and be done. I don't have to worry about rental cars ..ADR...fast pass..Emh..
grocery delivery..rope drop...boarding groups etc.

I am sooooo ready to jump on SOMETHING!!!!:P

I'm hoping no news is good news!!!

This morning at 8:52 we received a communication from our Travel Agent (Costco) to complete our online check in. We are booked on the 9/4 Fantasy cruise. Seemed a little strange this far out... but when clicking on the link I keep getting a 504 error that the service is temporarily unavailable. I thought online check in typically was around 30 days out? Anyone else get this? If the link works, I will update.

For what it's worth I just checked and I am unable to check in for my September 3rd sailing on the Dream.

We are 33 days out from the supposedly first Dream sailing on August 9th. Has anyone on that sailing tried checking in yet?

Can't check in yet for the Aug 9 sailing. We booked a VGT rate and haven't even gotten a stateroom assigned yet.

Sorry. Thanks for checking.

I hope we hear something by Friday. I really thought yesterday was going to be the day.

Ditto...except we have a GTY 7A room. :scared:

I can't believe 33 days out with no word 1 way or the other. Yes, since it's not canceled, it is implied we are going, but at least let us know what the protocols will be. Or just cancel if you are going to! Back up plans need to be made!

This right here... Hey DCL - Just tell us what you know as of now, and what you don't know too. It's OK to not have all the answers.

I feel for you.
