We are coming up on our online check in date for our first cruise and I was wondering if I am able to enter any information early? I thought I had read you can put in your passport information early, but I am unable to find where I would do that in my cruise account. Do you need to be paid in full? We used a ta if that makes a difference as well. Thanks!

You are not able to add any of your check-in information (including passport #'s) until your window opens (75 days for first timers; 90 days for silver cc; 105 for gold and 120 for platinum/concierge). You do not need to be paid in full to do your online check-in but do to make reservations for port adventures, activities and adult dining. It does not matter if you booked through a TA or directly through DCL.

For our first cruise, I asked our TA to add our passport #'s before we were able to do online checkin. They were all listed by the time I could check in!

A great tip I picked up here - just pick whatever option that requires you to enter the least amount of info and then go back and edit after you've gotten your port arrival time. If you do the photo ID option (assuming it's a closed loop cruise in the U.S.), you don't need to enter anything.

I was a lot faster this time around than the first time! :)

When I filled ours in, I had entered the passport numbers on a spreadsheet. Then, as I was entering the info at check-in, I just did a copy and paste from the open spreadsheet. It meant I wasn't fumbling with passports and the keyboard. Just copy and paste.
