I know you can eat at Topsiders as an alternate to the dining rooms. My question is what do they serve? Is it table service? Anyone done this?

My husband and I cruised in April on the Magic and ate at Topsiders 4 out of 7 nights. Our DS is 2 and couldn't make it through late seating...the cruise was full and we were not able to switch to early seating.

The set up at Topsiders is really nice and we enjoyed our meals immensely. You are seated at a table and have a waiter who brings you a menu. The menu varied every night and was a bit limited, but we never had any trouble finding something we liked. Part of the buffet line was set up with appetizers, salads and desserts. We got up to serve ourselves these items and the waiter took care of our drinks and main entree orders. We loved the atmosphere...really relaxed and quiet. We also liked the fact that you could choose when to show up for dinner and casual dress was fine.

It's a really nice option for people with young children, or someone who just wants to be casual for an evening.

Have a great cruise!
