Was I dreaming or did I really see a taxi service for larger groups. Any ideas which taxi company it could have been. Have had a look on the internet but not had any luck. Thanks
We use Murray Hill (www.transportation2disney.com). I think it's $90 round trip and you can stop at the supermarket. They pick you up in a large van and I believe it holds up to 10 people. Good thing is that they only have you in the van and they don't have to stop at every hotel like Mears does. So you get to get into the parks right away!!!
Thanks for your replies but what I really meant that I thought I'd seen them waiting outside WDW or SeaWorld. There are 9 of us and we would want to use them after a late night in the parks rather than relying on hotel shuttles.
Yes, when we were there last December, there were loads of mini-van taxis about. One company even had a desk in the lobby of our hotel which was very handy - their vans held all 11 of us!
We were told to always check the cost to our intended destination with the driver first before getting into any of the taxis waiting outside the parks though and also to make sure they were official taxis.
Sorry for the delay - just found a receipt for our taxi - the company was Transamerica Tours. We paid $65 round trip from I-Drive to Magic Kingdom. We also used them on Christmas Day to get from one end of I-Drive to the other (and back again later) with 11 passengers and they were very reasonable but I can't remember exactly what we paid.
