My DS asked me yesterday, while I was printing out yet another great tip from this board to add to my huge collection, "Are you going to get a binder to put that in like sister has for school?" I couldn't stop laughing, but, I also kinda panicked because I want to take all of these tips with me and there is no way I'll remember them all. DD said that we would just do our very best to remember as much as we can and have a great time no matter what! I think I'm on info overload!!!

your DD has the right attitude ! For me all of the preperation is so I can relax during the trip, and know how to quickly go to plan B !

start taping all the good reasons all over your wall :) THat will work just fine! :)

If only this could be a school subject! I'd drop Accounting and teach this in a heartbeat---just for the field trips!!! :thumbsup2

I have the same problem with my WDW vacation coming up in August. For a DLR trip I wouldn't give it a second thought, but then, I am a local with an AP so I can navigate my way through the parks without thinking. . .sometimes I forget this is not possible with most people. . .

Make a condensed list. You dont need every tip you've read. Go through what you have and highlight the really important things that you think will enhance your trip. Type them up in a small font word document. Organize them by theme- eating, rides/ avoiding lines, shows/entertainment, etc. That way you arent searching through everything to find what you need.

I'm so with you on this, lol! I am going to write an "agenda" for each day of our trip and put it in my planner and leave it at that.

Gosh Linda, That is a really great idea! I spend all this time researching, looking things up, and all and then I get there and forget 1/2 of my great ideas! :confused3 I think I will type some of them up and put them on index cards, especially the restaurant info. We don't like to make too many ressies so that we are a little more relaxed and not on a schedule, but then I always forget all the names of the places I want to try! Thanks again for the idea!

As I read something really good that I think applies to my trip, I click the Word Document button on my computer and type it in right then and there. Every so often I go in and edit it so that the information goes "where it belongs" on my itinerary. Sometimes, I realize things won't apply to my dates or my trip in general, and then I just delete it. That way I don't get that "information overload" you're referring to!;)

One word: PASSPORTER

If you don't want to purchase one, go check out a book store, see how it's laid out and then make your own, if you've got design talent. I did it for years and finally broke down and bought a real one....however, I write everything in pencil so I can reuse it each time!

I'm definitely a "Disney on a Dime" girl!
