Info on Computer hook-up at OKW

Just back from a 2 BR at OKW in Bldg 13. For computer users info, I noticed a "jack" in the 1 BR part on the counter-cabinet behind the dining table. Also in the studio a "jack" next to the small dining table. Didn't have our lap-top to try them out. Problably next time.
I wonder if these are the high speed connections as Doc and others have indicated were being installed ??
On the other hand maybe they have been there all the time and I have just noticed them.

Those are the broadband connections for the resorts. As of 2 weeks ago, they were not "live" at OKW, but it looks like it should be coming soon. (I did plug in my laptop... and nothing happened! )

I thought I read that OKW was getting high speed internet in April of this year.

We used it at the Contemporary in December and it was great!

We were in Building 38 MLK Day week and I noticed the jacks as well - one on the counter by the dining table, and one actually in the corner near the normal phone jack (under the table between the sofas). We had a laptop but didn't try it, since my husband has free dial-up for work anyway (well, free barring the $0.32 call fee).

They were working on rehabbing buildings nearby - they were totally closed down and looked to be gutted. I'm betting that they're adding the broadband cabling during the rehabs, and they probably won't turn it up until most if not all of the rooms are completed.

Yep, DH was guilty of plugging in his laptop to"check it out" and even called down to the front desk to confirm that it wasn't working yet.
