Info on April 15-22 why are a lot of hotels sold out

We are looking to go see grandma in April 15- 22. She is in Semi vally CA. would like to stay by DL but look like it will be crowed. I guess the kids have off school like my kids do. WE only want to go to the park 1 or 2 days. will thay be crowed. Will we do better staying by Hollywood if so what are some good resort 3 stars or so. thank you for any help.

What hotels are you looking at? I just did a quick check on Expedia and they say "no rooms available" on several hotels, but if you try those hotel websites directly there are rooms at most of them. It will probably be packed though since many schools will be out for spring break at that time.

That's Easter week and tons of kids have that week off for spring break! I think the park will be very crowded that week!

Simi is pretty damn far from DL, especially in traffic if you plan to be driving back and forth a lot. Maybe consider a hotel more in the middle.
