Hi Guys:wave:

Can anyone please tell me who is it best to book with (Dreams Unlimited or phoning Central reservations or Mouse Savers) when trying to get best discounts for rooms only reservations at a WDW resort.

We have DC membership and are intending to get one AP when we arrive at MCO.

We have decided to go for Riverside at Port Orleans (many thanks to all who gave us their opinions in an earlier thread)

Getting quite excited now at the prospect of all this planning!:bounce:

Thanx in advance,
Luv Audrey,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx;)

Audrey, I've never used them, but my understanding is that Dreams will apply the best discount available at the time of booking and then keep re-checking. If they find a better rate, they will switch your booking.

I've booked with Dreams for next August. When you book you are assigned an agent who will do all the leg work for you. They book the room, and check for any applicable discounts right up until you go. They will also book all your PS's and Cirque tickets etc. This does save you a lot of expensive phone calls.

I'd go for Dreams.

I've used them before and my agent got me some great discounts. Yes, they were discounts which I may have been able to get myself (DC and then AP), but I was able to leave all the angst to her and save on the phone calls. They are also usually one step ahead when the discounts are announced as they have their finger on the pulse.

The hardest part for me, when I first used them, was being able to 'let go' - I guess I must be a bit of a control freak ;)!

This is my problem - I'd just as soon check Mousesavers and ring CRO myself, I just don't trust someone else to do it for me, so I would still be looking out for codes and ringing them up to check they had spotted it.

Hi Audrey,

Although I'm new to these boards I have been around other forums for quite a while and have been to WDW lots of times. I can heartily recommend an American travel agent that I have never met!
Nanci is a Disney and USF specialist. She knows ALL of the codes and discounts, is used to dealing with AP and DC bookings and has even sent me Universal Studios Fan club cards, when she has secured those rates for me.
You don't pay the money to Nanci - you pay WDW or the hotel directly and you don't pay her any comission. She will even phone you once you are in in your hotel to make sure everything is OK.
Nanci has saved me a fortune in long distance calls.
http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/ I can't praise her enough.

Good Luck whatever you decide!

;)
