Info from my guide re MB, BCV sell-out, price increase,etc.

I just had an interesting conversation with my guide where I learned several things. First, the Magical Beginnings program will probably go on until March or April. And in April there may be another price increase! Although I don't know about all use years, August is expected to be available until at least May at BCV, and it's even available for some add-ons at VWL, if anyone's interested. Oh, and I asked him about the style of SSRS (inside corridors or outside). He said it seems to be inside, like BWV or BCV. He said it would be available for pre-sale, but unfortunately he didn't say when (just "hopefully not long after BCV sells out, after May). And the best part I thought-if you want to put everything, including the downpayment of the new Disney Visa card you can. That way you can get the points (or rewards or whatever they are) and pay the card with the cash.

Very interesting...

I have an August use year at BCV and a couple of weeks ago my guide told me there were only 31.000 August use year points left, so I purchased a 100 point add-on so I would not be shut out. I didn't ask, but does anyone know if they hold back some points from each use year for add-on purposes?

Magical beginings for BCV is still in full swing and even better as of last Thursday- now they are offering a $10.00/point rebate in exchange for your 1st years points- for new buyers, and the same offer is valid for VWL. HH and VB are at $15.00/point rebate. I just pushed our paper work through yesterday and got the ball rolling! Finally- after 4 years of wishing- it's no longer a dream!

I just got off the phone with a DVC guide (we are looking into it, I am engrossed in spreadsheets and the DIS), and he said Saratoga Springs will start pre-sale in late July or August of this year, and open next May, it will be more like OKW, have mainly bus transportation, but they've been talking about a boat to DTD from there.

He didn't tell me how much per point they're selling for right now, just that WLV and BCV are still open at WDW, and HH and VB too. Does anyone know how much per point WDW is selling them for?

Interesting part about paying with the Disney Visa card....is this maybe part of (and/or) the "big news" comming out in the next member clubhouse?

DVC does not hold back points with each months use year. If they are sold out of your year, you can not do an add on. You must take a full new contract and "never the two shall mix". I.E. when making ressies, you would have to specify which one you are using or my guide suggested transfering all points each year into 1 account and than tracking use year for bank/borrowing purposes on your own.

the points are selling for $84.00/point- then they have the discounts if you want to give up your first years points. That's for a newbie- do they have other point values for add ons???
