Baby in truth is not a bad thing. I used to play it when I was a little girl. The reason they took it out was for an entirely different reason, but those people could still easily say it, and know what it was they were saying. They then decided to put it back in, the people using the word falsely will be banned, just as they have before.

I'm actually ok with "baby" being added back. I think, like many of you have said, it depends on the context. While I am not a fan of "bay be" on VMK, many of us played "baby" as kids. Of course, there will be those that use it in inappropriate ways, but I hate for a few bad apples to spoil the whole thing. I think it's a sad reflection of our times that we're having this discussion in general. Whatever happened to the time where kids were just kids and we did not have to worry about analyzing every word they said for hidden or inappropriate meanings? I, for one, am thrilled I can now actually sing "Burn baby burn, it's a disco inferno!" rather than "burn bay be burn" LOL! Now I just have to go find myself an Inferno and I can dance along

Okay, so for all of us that are married/significant others and say "better half" or like me, "hub.be" or "why.fee", maybe they should add those as well, because we say them anyways

I guess the thing that really gets my goat is seeing conversations where for example I see:

Girl 1: she is seeing her best friend boy friend behind her back
Girl 2: well, that is bc she is a <removed>

This was pretty mild, as I have seen MUCH worse words used, but yet VMK does not do anything about it, as its not dictionary dancing, Go figure...

Honestly if i can i would like to say "NO COMMENT" to the baby thing. If people are going to use it in a bad way dont bother just let their time come to get banned and for the little kids out there who jut want to play "Bay. Be" than let that be also.

My take on it is that if a new player comes across that they can say baby they will see it as nothing wrong with it and then eventually they do more 'adult acts' that are against the rules. And if they perform an adult act using the theme of baby and someone says its against the rules, the person performing these acts will say something on the lines of ''Its fine if we can say it!" So I am against the addition of the word. I see no ther point to say the word.

Sorry I just do not get the big up roar over "baby"

IT is not the word but how the word is used.

They removed beach because players were using that word in a terrible way and that word got me a ban when I dictionary danced it with the following....


"I am great, just got back from the be.each."


They reversed the ban but sadly it left a bad taste in my mouth for being banned for such an innocent word.

Personally I wish they would add beach back now. I have come full circle on how I feel about words and their uses in VMK.

Add them all back( all meaning words not inappropriate for the game). If a player TRULY then misuses the word in a way that is inappropriate for VMK, ban them.

Do not punish us players who do not mis use words in inappropriate ways.

Do not ban the words. Ban the players misusing the words.

So far this week I have been very happy with the changes to the VMK dictionary. Keep up the good work VMK Team.

While I agree with Mal's reasoning on this, I also think it's a bit of a bad idea to add baby back in the dictionary because now all the sick people out there are gonna go bonkers with like the relationship rooms. I can just see it now:

Boy: - makes her have a baby -
Girl: What?!?!

...Ok that was a bad example I know but hopefully someone gets my point. I think by doing this it just makes it a lot worse and it makes it easier for the sicko's to do their "cyber-bullying" or whatever.

I agree if that is the real reason get ready for those words to come out.. At least when people have to dictionary dance it makes it harder for them to say these kind of things now it just seems like Vmk is giving up. Already I've heard it was used like five times today..

I go to like main Street to see my friends and see girls/guys going up to people saying "show me how to make baby." Its a really gross and my mom is trying to get my brothers and I to stop playing now.

If you see people doing that REPORT THEM just because baby is now back in the dictionary does not mean it is ok to misuse it.

Your mom is trying to get you to stop playing because VMK added baby to the dictionary when bay be could have been said all along... sorry I do not understand that logic, being a mother myself it just makes no sense to me.

Yes that was and no I don't get your point.

Baby has always been said as bay be, before baby was added back they could have just had a room with Bay be in the title.

We lost our "beach," we can't say NUMBERS for Goofy-sake, and I can't carry on a normal conversation without the red letters coming up.

I have to agree! I also wish we could say hard as in "Wow, it was really hard to design this room", We should also be able to say sock,beach,salt,salty and won. But let's all be grateful for the words we can say (like supercalifragalisticeslpialadoishes, and PeterPan)

I also do not understand the whole "I am going to quit VMK over this" business either. I do not understand how this could affect you so badly. It is a word and a good word at that.

If some children want to take it out of context, let their parents worry about it. You watch your kids or your Ps and Qs if you are a kid yourseld and move on.

I honestly don't care that baby was added to the dictionary. It's the fact that it was baby that was added, and not some more deserving word.
