BOTH of you! ;)

There is NOTHING in the parks for this movie. My son is a big fan of the flick (and I thought it was neat, much better than that joke of a Sinbad movie), and we hoped to find something in the parks, but there was nothing there. Well, they did have the solar sailer background for those faux pictures that you can make at the parks.

Otherwise, ZILCH. They didn't even make pins for this movie.

I know this won't affect many of you out there, but I thought I'd share just the same.

holcomb-mania,
I just rented that movie the other night. I really enjoyed it and I'm thinking of buying it. (Does that make 3 fans?)...
What types of things were you hoping for--action figures or pins or ? We are going to WDW in about a week and I will be on the look out for Treasure Planet stuff. If I notice anything, I'll post...

They do have pins, I have had several of them and traded back and forth with them. They also have Ben and they boy (Stupid me forgot his name at the moment.) at meet and greets. If I remember correctly I was at MGM when I saw them. I think I have a pic somewhere of Ben, I will have to see if I can find it.

I heard way back in summer they had character greets when M:S first started running.

All we really wanted was pins. I asked the CM at the central pin station at Epcot if they had any and she said I was the second person in 10 minutes to ask that question. She said they didn't make any pins for TP. Just in case she was wrong, we looked at every pin station in every park and every resort we visited (CSR, AKL, WL). The big pin store in DtD had nothing as well.

Any info on a pin-trading/purchasing site would be great. I think just a Jim Hawkins pin would be enough.

Thanks for offering to keep an eye out!

I haven't seen a Jim Hawkins pin, but they had Amelia because I think we still have her, and they had Morph at one time. Those are the ones I remember seeing. I would go to pinpics.com and that will tell show you the pins if anyone has them listed.

They did make a few pins and released them just prior to the film release. Fortunately I was able to get a Jim Hawkins pin- I think it was him on his rocket skateboard or whatever that was LOL. I'll have to take a look at my pins and see if I can find it. Let me know if anyone wants a picture of it and I'll try to take one and post it, although I don't think I know how to post a picture on here.

I just checked on pinpics.com and there were 35!!! different TP pins. How did I not see a single one in DW?

I saw the pins there for a few months or so, but not since then. They must have ordered one batch of them and then not re-ordered when they sold. Same thing with a lot of the merchandise- when the film first came out there was a bunch of merchandise, but not much since then. I guess it must not have sold very well or something. I thought it was a pretty good Disney movie, I don't know why it didn't become popular.

I saw tons of the pins in March, May, and August...Definitely saw the most in DTD in World of Disney on that big pin wall. That robot guy and Jim Hawkins and that pink fishy thing (I haven't seen the movie, can you tell?) were all very well represented as recently as August. We also saw them at a meet and greet, in front of CoP. They were standing there all by theirselves, so we felt bad for them and went and had our pictures made with them. It was funny, my boyfriend kept trying to keep Jim away from me, he got "jealous" Too cute. princess:

While I have not seen any pins, Once Upon A Toy at Downtown Disney is still carrying all sorts of Treasure Planet toys. :)

My DS must be the other TP fan!! When we were there last December 5-8 there was a lot of stuff and we had just seen it. He got a Jim Hawkins pin (unfortunately the back broke off), DD#2 got Amelia and DD#1 got Morph. He also got a pirate hat that said "treasure planet".
It is an awesome movie and not nearly as appreciated as it should be.
