We were on the Feb. 22 sailing and on the first night, my daughter vomited in the sick in the washroom outside the Walt Disney Theatre (the stalls were all occupied, but at least we made it to the washroom!) I suspected seasickness; she even gets car sick. I had forgotten to give her medication before the ship left port so she started feeling queasy during dinner and by then it was too late. Anyhow, within minutes, a ship's officer was in the washroom and cleared everyone out. She immediately asked me for my stateroom number (in case I escaped!!) then told me that we had to go to the medical center to see the doctor. I told her that I was sure that my daughter was only seasick (even I felt woozy), but she insisted saying it was their policy to take anyone who "was sick" to see the doctor.
Of course, I was in a state of panic, thinking we had only left port 2 hours ago and we were going to be quarantined for the next 2 days or so! We ended up seeing a nurse, who asked us a few questions and said my DD should get some rest and that she would call the next morning. My DD (crying now) asked if she would have to stay in her room for the next two days. The nurse said no - as long as it is only seasickness.
Well, the next morning the nurse did call. My DD was still feeling a bit queasy, but had not had another episode. The nurse suggested to continue seasickness medication and get up on deck for fresh air...And of course, we all breathed a sigh of relief!
So, I guess the quarantine is not automatic anymore...
