Info about sleeper cars on trains?

My boyfriend and I are going to be taking a train down to New Orleans at some point.

We're thinking about getting a viewliner roomette. But I was wondering if they have some sort of rail available for the top bunk. I'm afraid I'll roll right off.

Has anyone here ever been in one of these cars?

We have been in the exact roomette you are looking into. The top bunk has a mesh type strappy thing that hooks to the ceiling in two places. My DD9 slept up there just fine. very secure.
