Hi,
We are coming to WDW first wk in nov. As we are in Australia, we can't really make reservations prior to our trip. We really want to go to chef mickeys, boma etc for breakfast. Is it possible to be able to get a seat without a reservation? Can we just walk in or will it be too busy? We were also thinking of having high tea at the GF, do you think it would be possible to just get a walk in seat or should we make a res when we arrive? Are the restaraunts usually booked up in early nov or is this a fairly quiet time? Thanks everyone. :wave2:

We have never been there in Nov. But you don't have to make a PS. You could just end up waiting a long time. Everytime that we have been to Chef Mickey's, it has been really busy. But we go at a busier time of year. What I would recommend doing, is as soon as you get to Disney, call for your PS's for the week. You may not get the exact time you want, but at least you know you will get in.

We've been there the first week in November and were glad we had PS. Some of our resturant choices would have been no problem to walk in with out ressies, but some we would have been turned away from (LeCellier in Canada for one). We did make some PS the same day and some from on property for days in the future. Is it the cost of the phone call that makes you not want to make PS ahead of time? I always feel better when I have PS ahead of time.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it would cost way too much to call ahead of time from Aus. Can you go in person to the restaraunt and make a res? If we went to chef mickeys the night before to make a res for the morning do you think we would get one? Is dinner less crowded than breakfast?

If you're staying onsite, there is a dining button n the phone in the room, just press it and you can make PS with them.

When you get to the states, I would call and make PS for any that you are interested in - some of them do fill up, and that would get you the best chance in advance, and it'll save you sometime waiting at certain places. You are always welcome to inquire that day, as well, but making one phone call will save time and effort =)

I've read a couple of times that Chef Mickey's is very crowded and possbile won't even accept you without a PS. Once you arrive in the States or your hotel make your ressies then.

Good luck!

Another strategy you can use is to get Chef Mickey's when it opens sometimes they can get you in then. I would still try and call as soon as you get in and try to see if you can secure something, usually if you are flexible it will be okay.

The day that you arrive, as you check-in, have a list of places and times that you want to eat. Ask nicely and the CM at the front desk will make them for you. We did this at CR one night for the next night at Whispering Canyon. No problem and got the exact time that we wanted. I assume that they do this at all resorts??? The CM was happy to do it. I simply asked if I could make a PS through guest services desk at the resort, and the nice CM said, "I'll do it for you right now....what would you like?"

Aussie Daisy,

If you would like to let me know where and when you want your PS, I will call WDW Dining for you. I can send you the PS reservation numbers through email. You can PM me with the information or email me at

I'd be glad to help you plan your trip.

Thanks Mich Mouse,
I really appreciate this offer, very kind of you. As we are going in Nov, there is no rush but I might take you up on your offer nearer the time. I haven't yet decided where and what days we want to go but it would be a big help to have even one ps done before we arrive. I will keep in touch. Thanks again for your offer, I really appreciate it. :teeth:

Hi,

Save my email address, and don't hesitate to contact me when it gets closer to your trip. It will be quite helpful to have some PS' seatings before you arrive. :sunny:
