Morning all.

Does anyone know whether you can find out what the meals will be on the flight you are booked on?

I have 2 VERY fussy eaters with me and am trying to find out what they will be having.

We are plying PE - has anyone flown with them recently who can tell me what they have had for their meals? (Gatwick to Oralndo?)

Hi Caroline - I honestly can't remember what meals the kids got in PE - but they can't have been that bad, as they ate them. There is a V Flyer forum - so someone on there may know what food they're serving now. I don't recall the url -just google v flyer.

If they're really fussy - it might be worth you taking some snacks in your hand luggage.

thanks - I take snacks as a back up but the last flight I was almost carrying a full picnic!!!!! Wanted to avoid that this time really!

Will scoot over to v-flyer and see if they can help!

hi when we went a couple of months ago the kids meal where great it was chicken fingers, wedges and beans, a dairylea dipper, fruit shoot, frube, mini bag of haribo sweets, fruit bag and a gingerbreadman and then for tea they had one jam and one cheesespread sandwich a flapjack bar fruit bag then juice or water hope this helps

On the VA website there is a section called MY BOOKING. Sign into that (ref. no. and your name) and there is a link to further details where you can request a meal using a drop down section.

I'm afraid it's not like a menu;), but it gives you a choice for each member of your party to have adult/child/baby/vegetarian/Vegan/Kosher/low fat/low salt etc. I have booked vegetarian for me, and child for DS1 and baby for DS2

Unfortunately, it doesn't tell you what the food is either, but that was with economy, don't know if PE would.

I presume you are talking about kids:rotfl: and not adults' meals. I think the kiddie's meals I have seen are along the lines of what has already been suggested. Adults always seem to be beef, chicken or pasta.

What I find when flying is that you are not as hungry as you would normally be because your activity levels are not very high. To be on the safe side you could always buy some sandwiches airside to take on board for them and just have them in a plastic bag instead of loading your hand luggage up with stuff.

I don't know if this helps, but here is a picture of my Little 'uns UC children's meal from December 2007. Its essentially the same as all other classes childrens meals

We always ordered an adults meal for our youngest as he is a fussy eater and can't stand baked beans anywhere near his food, but loves salad, cheese and biscuits so we would take him plenty of snacks and he would eat our salads and buttered rolls and cheese and biscuits. Hope you find some one who can help you answer your question.

what is making me laugh so much is that my fussy eaters are not CHILDREN - just Pain in the A*** adults!!!

hahahahahaha

kids meal looks great though - I might order that myself !

Hi
I'm a little out of touch with what you can take in your hand luggage - DD (for whom I've ordered a veggie meal) is a very fussy vegetarian - will we be able to take sandwiches on the flight?

Welcome back, Obi!

Just in the Emerald Island Clubhouse and picking up emails, checking the new DIS posts etc and spotted you're back!

:rotfl: Mind you, after seeing Obi's pic, I'm tempted to ask if I can order one of those meals for myself.

I could throw in some pictures of the UC meals as well if that would not make the "Chicken, Fish or veg" options look too bad (but then again, compared to BA, they look a bit sad)
