Inflation WOW

I equate cheap to fun.

Was the roll back prices at Omega - or was I reading wrong?

ANother good one is that Emmy's (or Emma's?) across from Suburbanite. Super good.
I see your cheap as fun, could work for me. ;)
Yeah, you were mistaken, the roll back wasn't at Omega, can't imagine them ever doing that. As said they are way too busy and popular with the high school kids since the restaurant is so close to North. Plus let us not forget on the north side of Downers. No never checked out Emmy's or Emma's. Love downtown D.G. just don't venture down that way too much any more. Now due to their extra higher taxing nonsense. Try not to shop too much in D.G. any more.

manning did say it was Omega. I thought so too. Had a look, it was, found this on Twitter!:rotfl:
Too bad you didn't know about it. I love when our local places do this.

Omega Restaurant is rolling back prices to 1974 - see thier ad on page 20 of today's Lemont Reporter/Met

I just rode by there yesterday and it is closed unless they moved somewhere else. Update here, I saw the one east of cass ave.

The roll back was at Omega for one day only mon oct 5. It was either advertised or in an article. A friend told us about it.

Food for thought:

In 1994, a Mercedes-Benz E-Class cost $47,000 ($68,000 in today's dollars). In 2010? It cost $47,000 ($32,000 in 1994 dollars).

In 1994, a VHS tape cost $24.95. In 2010 we can buy new-release Blu-Ray discs for $18.

In 1994, a Super Nintendo Game cost $59.99. In 2010, a new Wii game is as cheap as $39.99.

Home entertainment, electronics, cars, communication (internet and phone) and airline tickets are all significantly cheaper today than ever before.

My Dad used to take us to McDonalds. Hamburgers were 15 cents. Cheeseburgers, 18 cents. Fries 12 cents. Soda 10 cents. Milk shakes were the most expensive at 35 cents.

I remember going to McDonalds and the 6 of us ate dinner there for $5. I also remember being able to buy 2 full sized candy bars and a pack of rain-blo bubble gum for a quarter.

I know what you mean. Here in Iceland we are now paying approx. 20% more for all domestic products than we paid a year ago (due to inflation) and 100% more than we paid for imported products (which are most everything we buy), due to the horrible exchange rate of our currency.
