Infants when on DDP

Hello,

Not really sure where to post this or even how to word it.

Right I have to questions, if we book with DDP and DD is still under 2

1. When making ADRS online do I need to book for 3?

2. What do we order for her? When in DLP we could order an entree free of charge for her, is it the same in WDW?


Hope some one can help me.

You need to make your ADRs for 3 people.

As for ordering if you order a meal you will have to pay for it - however she will eat free at any buffets or all you can eat. She is also welcome to share off your plates.

We found the kids meals to me cheap enough to just order DD her own meals. CS meals are $5.49 and TS meals are about $9.

Thank you thought it would still be an ADR for three!

We are planning to mainly eat at buffets and CS she won't eat enough to order for so she can a bit for each of us thanks for quick response xxx

I have to say I really dislike buffets with a little one - they are getting better now DD is a bit older but it was never a relaxing meal when she was little as we had to take it in turns to get food. It was so much nicer having it brought to us. Just something to think about

Oh really? We would always go up seperatly even if we didn't have DD! After a really bad experience of some one stealing from us at a carvery I will never leave our table unattended! X

We are also uneasy leaving something at the table, so we take turns to go to the buffet.

Once seated, I'll go get 2 plates, one for DS and one for myself while DW and DS do some drawing and coloring at the table
Back at the table, DW goes to the buffet while DS and I begin to eat.
From there on it runs pretty smoothly. If I need to go back to the buffet, DW is still busy eating, and it works the other way around.
In the end we hardly notice that the significant other is missing, because we were taught that there was no talking while your mouth is full

So someone always take care of DS and of our belongings, and we actually prefer it that way.
We don't like going together at the buffet, because we know that seeing what the other one is having will influence our choices of food. So we go solo to the buffet, and as you can imagine, with our way of doing buffets, a small one is really no issue

Family style is good with a little one - places like ohana breakfast or dinner, akershus breakfast, garden grill or liberty tree tavern dinner.

All food brought to your table so you can share and refills brought if you need.

Our DS (2) was 16 months when we last travelled and I found that the buffets worked really well.
On those days when we had table service meals I ended up sharing my dinner with him and somedays he was none too pleased to be sharing with me Unless of course we ordered him something of his own and he still preferred the look of my dinner.
At the buffets we have always gone up separately anyway so it wasn't any bother but the good thing was he had a plate all to himself.

DD has been roughly every 6 months since 9 months old - we have always just bought her a meal of her own at both CS & TS. To us it was always worth the money as she was happy.

If you do share they are always happy to bring an extra plate - just remember to tip well as a thank you

I don't like buffets as I like to relax and going up to keep getting food is not my idea of relaxing esp when juggling 2 plates!

We really enjoyed the family style meals though.
