Infants needing socks for PP pics?

Has anyone ever walked barefoot on hot pavement before? Ouch!!

I'll bet its a park policy because they don't want the little ones burning their tender feet on pavement that is too hot to walk on barefoot about 8 months out of the year.

Since the photographers seem to have the most interactive contact with the guests, they may be charged with letting us know of the policy.

If you go when its hot, its never a good idea to let your kids be barefoot even if in a stroller. They see Mickey (or another character), get excited and jump out of the stroller, and before you can say Solarcaine your child could burn their feet.

We never put shoes on our kids until they were walking. Our daughter was the last baby we took to WDW and she was barefoot in her stroller and when I held her for pics, etc. We are also big Robeez fans. We just slipped those on anytime we thought she would need them.

I think that it depends on the photographer you get. We took our DS (one trip at 3 months and one trip at 5 months old) last November and then more recently... and at Epcot the CM just told us to roll his pants down past his feet because they were, "not supposed to allow children to take pictures barefoot". The CM even kind of rolled her eyes. You could tell she thought it was ridiculous...but then when we went to MK our little boy had kicked his socks off and they wouldn't let us take pictures with one of the princesses until we put something on his feet. We stocked up on socks and made sure to have his little feet (even though they hardly ever touched the ground) covered and had no more problems. I attached a couple with sock and without sock photos from our trip.
