We just got back from our 2 1/2 week trip to Orlando and was surprised at Universal.

They would not let our 7 month old baby on the Carousel with out shoes. I told them she doesn't even walk yet so she doesn't use shoes but they said no shoes...no ride.

We couldn't believe it! Anyway, just a heads up for others.

Same thing happened to us in the Cat in the Hat ride. Luckily we had our baby bag with us, and were able to put shoes in our 1 year old. I thought it was ridiculous, since we were carrying him anyway and he wasn't walking in....

If it is an insurance company rule, the ride ops have to enforce it. I wonder if it has anything to do with the foot accident over at MIB?

Wowser.....
We didn't have shoes for our kids at that age, just slipper looking things and socks. I wonder what they would have done in our case? I'm sorry that happened to you. :(

We had people in front of us at ET who couldnt get on til they pu shoes on their baby. The attendant aske dif the baby could walk and the couple yes so she said baby has to have shoes on. So does that mean if baby couldnt walk he wouldnt have had to have on shoes

Last night, I told my husband we needed to my our daughter some shoes for the trip. She is only 5 months old and just wears socks, but I would think it would be safer on a ride for her to be wearing shoes. Now that I have read your post, I will definitely go get her some.
