My daughter was told by a recent Disney visitor that the parks have rooms where one can take a young child for feeding, complete with a microwave and stuff to keep the siblings occupied. Is this true, and where are they in the various parks?

Thanks,

Each park has a baby care center just like you described. I know that the one in MK is located next to the Crystal Palace and the one in Epcot is in the area where the Odyssey restaurant was once located. I am not sure where the centers are located in the other two parks...

They are listed on the park maps. The baby care centers usually have a waiting area, a feeding area (where you can buy formula or baby food) with high chairs, a breast feeding area and a changing area. We used the ones in Disneyland quite a bit when we went when DD was 6 months.

MK's baby care center is located next to 1st aid.

Epcot's is located next to 1st aid

Animal Kingdom's is located just before the bridge to Africa

MGM's is located inside guest services

Mgm's is the worst. Not much there. No tv to keep other kids entertained. Only 2 nursing rooms that are like dressing rooms. There are big changing tables

Animal Kingdom's is the nicest. There is a big area for kids to watch a movie, color and just relax. There is also a few nursing rooms with rockers and changing tables, there is also a big room of small changing tables and high chairs.

The baby centers are awesome! There is a kitchen with polar water and one that is hot for making fomula, you can buy almost anything you have forgotten there, there is a dark, quiet, private room with rocking chairs for nursing, There is big room with changing tables, they have a bathroom, a place with high chairs to feed older kids, and they have a room ( sometimes with the highchairs) with a tv and stuff for siblings. We used this all the time when my son was 3 months old.

Mgm's is located right inside the main entrance and to the left, right before you hit any stores. Its in the Guest Relations building right across from that kiosk right in the middle where you get your locker keys.

Animal Kingdoms is on Discovery Island adjacent to the Creature Comforts store.

The other poster was right about MK's being next to Crystal Palace and Epcots being in the Odyssey building between Test Track and Mexico.

I love the one in AK! After spending a hot morning in the park, my kids are all glad to go inside "babyland" to cool off and to have a little quiet time. It's good to BF in the a/c (when I was still BF-ing my kids). My oldest gets herself water and has a little fun. My youngest two have gotten tidied up and, I've bought Tylenol for my headache there. I love all the changing tables. Dh and I could each change a baby and I wouldn't have to take one at a time into the ladies room (which is what usually happened). Yea for "Babyland"!

I totally agree. It looks brand-spanking new. My daughter had a better time in there watching the Disney movies than she did on the safari ride.

Yes - in addition to the reviews above, here is the info from allears:

Also, make her aware that since there is only one babycare center in each park she may want to look for shady benches and a cool show to rest if you are in another area of the park. I know that all of the laides rooms have a baby changing area and most if not all of the mens rooms (per dh of course!).

You can also ask for a bottle or jar of food to warmed up at any CS or TS restaurant and of course she may breastfeed anywhere she and the baby are comfortable doing so.

eta - they do sell babyfood, diapers, formula etc in the babycare centers but it is pricey (big surprise I know). If she can stop at a grocery prior to WDW and bring whatever she may need into the parks that is more ideal.

Thanks for all the info, folks, just what we wanted to hear!

Bill.. tell your daughter to bring LOTS of disposable changing table pads. I have seen some gross things going on on those changing tables!!!!!! :earseek: These are the changing tables in the bathrooms!! ( not he baby centers) They usually do have paper towels hanging there, and I completely covered that table. The next trip i took, I brought lots and lots of the disposable covers. You do NOT want that baby touching that table, nor do you want to use your own, and fold it up and put it in a diaper bag.

Just a little suggestion!
