I'm looking for hints on where to purchase inexpensive pins for my sons to trade?

Thanks!

Try ebay, sometimes you can get good deals for pins, especially when sold in a "lot". I have seen other posts about some of the disney outlet stores around disney selling pins as low as .99 cents. Hopefully, you'll get some other ideas from posters! :goodvibes

hockeybabe is right, but there are some things to watch out for. Some pins are of lesser quality-- they're made in China or something and even though they say "Disney" on the back they aren't official Disney pins and CM's aren't supposed to trade for them. Some people have been embarrassed about having those particular pins.

Another thing to look out for is lots of the same pin, for example, the Millennium pin. Disney knows that there was a surplus of those pins and that they're being sold on ebay for cheap cheap cheap. Ditto the Kodak pin. So, CM's deliberately keep one of each of those pins on their lanyards, prohibiting them from accepting another one.

You can find more details on the pin trading board. Good luck!

Sometimes the Disney online store has pin sales. I've gotten quite a few large pins for $4 or $5 each. My son would use those for his trades.

Some of the cheaper pins on e-bay are everywhere at WDW. It seems that every CM has the one 2000 pin on their lanyard, so you can not trade it with them.

There still are some good deals on e-bay, just watch for the cheap 2000 pins.

:confused3
