Has anyone seen any good deals on digital cameras? I am looking for my dd for Christmas. She's 12, so don't want something too junky, but there is still a good possibility of it getting broken or lost, so don't want to spend too much.

TIA!

I saw a $89 one in the Target Black Friday ad - Kodak. I'm thinking about it for my 12 year old son.

My daughter is a major pirate fan so I bought her a POTC camera. It's a 3MP camera (not too junky) on sale for $72 from Disneyshopping.com. They have other themes and prices, so check out the site. Walmart had the same camera for $80 (regular price). I ordered it online though, as I was buying other items and needed the price of the camera to get free shipping. I haven't received it yet, so I can't comment on the camera itself. It does come with a Disney editing program that I thought was cute. HTH :goodvibes

When my grandson was 11 I got him the Kodak easyshare (can't remember which one--but a little better than basic). We found it easy to use and easy to download into his computer. (It came with the docking station/printer). He still has it and uses it (he'll be 14). There are always lots of sales on these cameras over the holidays. I think I got his on black Friday, but have had good luck buying them through walmart.com too. I've since gotten one for almost every kid in our family now.

There's a nice one at Walmart right now, 8.0 Polaroid, for $98....pretty pink or black...

DD10 will be 11 on the 14th. We bought her a Kodak Easyshare 7.0 MP with 3X zoom for $129 at Best Buy. She wanted the blue one, which was somewhat hard to find - we ordered it (free shipping). We gave it to her last weekend prior to her b-day party. She loves it - has been snapping away ever since and has figured out how to take videos with it as well. I did buy her a separate SD (memory) card. The internal memory only holds a few pictures. It's easy to download photos as well. It didn't come with the docking station, but we may pick that up in the future. I saw the camera/docking station bundle at Wal-Mart for around $159 a couple weeks ago. The camera was silver -not sure about the resolution on that camera.

Here's another vote for the Kodak EasyShare. I have one and love it. Mine is a 5 megapixel with a 3x zoom. It takes great pictures and is easy to use. I'm getting DD (16) one for Christmas.

I bought this for DS11 for Christmas this year -- as it is still hidden, we will not know how it works until then.

That said -- I am a fan of the Kodak EasyShare line -- it is digital photography for dummies (which category I fall into).
