Inexpensive computer accessories online?

I am wondering where is a good place to look for computer accessories. I need an external cd/dvd drive for pretty cheap. I know about Newegg, and I may order one from there, but is there anywhere else I can check? Amazon didn't have what I need for the price I want.

I was in Staples and did not get a portable unit, but an external hard drive was 1 terabyte ? for $68 Seagate. I would check local flyers online, also check into slickdeals.net woot, and cheapcheapcheap.com for your best price try price grabber.com

Ouch. I thought I got a good deal this morning on Newegg with a 1TB Seagate for $80. That's the way it always seems to go.

internal drives always seem to be cheaper than external, plus there are different "levels" of hard drives (having the pleasure of researching right now. Our desktop hard drive finally failed.) NE does have an external seagate TB hd for $80. I found an internal 500Gb for $45 and $55 both the newer model, didn't even look at the TB ones.

I know the OP already said she knew about newegg but I am wondering if she signed up for the newsletter. Ours came today and they have a plextor for $47, sony optiarc for $27 and a lite-on for $29. These are internal writers. I have not researched dvd burners in a while but about 5 years ago, plextor was top of the line. I know there has been some changes in who makes chipsets for them now, not sure if the change was good or bad. They also have an external samsung for $50, not sure if burns dual layer, I would assume so, doubt it burns blu-ray.

Have you looked at tiger direct? I want to say there is one other place, think it's compusa but I'm unsure. bestbuy online has an outlet you might have some luck with.

I've found that they have pretty good prices. If you live where they have a store, I would advise going in. They have everything you'll ever need...and things you've never thought of, but find you want nonetheless.
