Been craving smores and thought I'd like to make them for a dinner party next weekend. Any ideas how to do this indoors??

Marshmallows can easily get heated in a microwave. Although they won't get the "crusty golden-brown" outsides. Just heat them up, and put them on the graham crackers with a hershey bar.

My DS LOVES making smores in the microwave -
I put the marshmellow on the cracker and put it in (looks like it is going to blow up - lol
then add the chocolate on top and another cracker - voila!

OR you can by smore makers - I got one at Sears for a Yanke Swap this past christmas - it's like a little tiny propane fire thing in the middle to roast your marshmellows!

OH and if you don't want to go traditional I know that the pampered chef has a recipe for a smore's dessert - bet you could get it on the website - or I have it somewhere and can look it up if you want it - let me know!

Sounds like a fun party to be at !
Have fun!

I make them in the oven. I put the graham crackers and chocolate in a low oven to melt the chocolate a little. I take them out and put on the marshmellow and flip on the broiler. You have to watch them carefully because both the marshmellow and graham cracker can burn. I remove and put on the tops. The only problem I have with it is that the tops don't stick. It only take a few minutes and they still taste good.

We make smores all the time. I have a small metal tray that came with my toaster oven and I just put the graham crackers on that with a marshmellow on top of each one. I set the oven to broil and watch them very closely because they get brown really fast. When I take them out I put a piece of chocolate on top and squish it down with another cracker.

Sometimes I do it the "dangerous" way and toast the marshmellows over the electric burner on my stove (on a bamboo skewer).

DS(9) got a kid's smores maker for Christmas, but it doesn't "toast" the marshmellow, just heats it up.

There used to be a recipe that Kraft foods put in magazines. Use the mini graham cracker pie crust and fill with Hersey kisses and marshmallows. Put on a cookie sheet and let melt in the oven. They are wonderful!

We make them the way RadioNate does. We stopped putting the top cracker on after we had them at 50's Primetime. They make them that way, don't put the top cracker on and drizzle the marshmallows with chocolate. YUM!!!

We've made them on the grill with pound cake and marshmallow fluff, and of course chocolate.

They were great.
