Apologies to anyone on facebook who I have been bugging all morning :rotfl2:

we have come around to the idea of going indirect with 4 kids :scared1:
There are 2 options that we have found and are comfortable with but im wondering which one more experienced travellers would go with ??

1) Manchester to Phiily with a 1 hr 55 min changeover time. £2340.00
Return journey is a changeover time of just 1 hr 15min
Flying U.S Airways

2) Birmingham to Newark with a 2hr 30 min changeover £2600.00
Return Journey is still 2 hr 30 mins changeover
Flying Continental.

I am happy flying from either airport although obv Birmingham is a lot closer to me. Which airline has seat back t.vs ????
So what do you think ???

Hi Louise

Have a look at aerlingus.com as they are indirect via Dublin and are really cheap.

Good luck

We flew Man-Philly-Orlando with US airways in December. We had seatback tv's on the transatlantic legs of the journey, we had films, tv, cartoon network and music channels, the earphones cost $5 each, but some mp3 earphones were compatible. The food was a good standard and the staff (cabin crew and ground staff) were all very friendly and helpful. We had a 4 hour wait on the way there, but would definitely go for the 1hr 55mins next time. On our way home we also had about 4 hours, I think the 1hr 15mins sounds a bit tight but someone else who has experienced it may have a better idea than me.
Overall I would highly recommend them.

I used Continental to go to MCO via Newark with my 4 children. Would do it again, no problems. Seatback TVs and nice staff

I've also used US Airways to go via Philadelphia when there were 3 children, lovely staff and seatback TVs on that flight too.

I agree that transfer time for the return flight is a bit tight going with US Airways.

Hi,
We had a dreadful flight with US Airways via Phillidelphia last year; but hopefully we were just really unlucky!
I would check the plane before you book though, because we didn't even think of them not having seatback TV's, and they didn't on the outward flight:eek:
Also, it took us forever to get through customs, (again it may just have been our bad luck); but we missed our connecting flight. They did offer us a stopover in Philly, but by that time we had been travelling nearly 24 hours, and just wanted to get to Orlando!
