Get rid & replace? Not necessarily... But I'd love an Indy ride. I guess there's no way they'd have 2 attractions with the same theme... but I love the Indy show. The interaction element is so good in that one.
On the rumor board someone posted something very interesting a while back about Indiana Jones
"Why do people believe that if the "Indiana Jones Stunt Show" is removed that it is going to be replaced by an Indiana Ride."
Honesly, think about it, what would be the possibility of a ride based on the same character in the area of a former attraction. That is like saying since 20,000 leagues under the sea was taken out a new Jules Verne ride should be put in *journey to the center of the earth*
If there was going to be ANY indiana jones "ride" it would fit perfectly in Adventureland. I am a huge indiana Jones fan and I think it would be a mistake to have 2 attractions in WDW based on a movie franchise that may be dead. (I know Harrison Ford has been recently promoting his new movie and has been quoted saying that filming will begin soon on Indiana Jones 4, but I won't believe it until he says. "Filming has already started"
The ride would be fun, but that show was one of my ds' very favorite (in his top 3 list) attractions in all of Disney World. If they closed it for any reason, he'd be crushed.
A new ride would be nice, but having the stunt show is cool to see. With other Indiana Jones movies made, maybe they need to change the scenes and focus on stunt segments from all the movies and not just the one.

The Indiana Jones ride is my all time favorite. I like the stunt show, but after seeing it many times, it gets a litle old.
I don't think that the movie will ever be "out" no matter how old it is. It would be perfect if they made a forth movie, and put the ride in somewhere in Adventureland!
I don't think they should replace the stunt show with the ride. I feel that's unneccesary. I think they should build a new ride in Disney MGM that doesn't necessarily have to be a thrill ride...something more along the lines of Great Movie Ride...since that is what this park is all about. But the Stunt Show is great! I never miss it and the theatre is always full! Even in February! That's gotta say something!
If anything, they should have added to the stunt show with possibly something from Temple of Doom and Last Crusade. Or maybe mix it up every time.
Either way, the Indy ride is just like Dinosaur, so I think they should think up a new ride system specifically for this park!
Wow...I never thought so many people still liked that stunt show. Plus, with the addition of Lights, Motor, Action (or whatever it's called) they now have 2 stunt type shows at MGM. I guess I have just seen the Indie stunt show so many times that I am bored with it. Plus, I LOVE the Indie movies & the Indie ride! Adventureland would be the perfect place for it, but where would they put it? MGM is also a perfect place since the films are some of the best ever (well, except for maybe Temple...eewwww...monkey brains!?!?)
I'm not sure it would go in the Magic Kingdom since the movie isn't Disney-related. It would, however, be great to either update the current show or install a ride (even the DL version). I too am a huge Jones fan, but am losing interest in seeing the show (unless it's been a while between trips). I expect something will happen soon, though.
I also really like both the ride and the stunt show. So I wouldn't want the stunt show to be removed. But I would like to be able to go on the ride more often (only been to Disneyland twice).
