Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular Time for change??

(I used to work in that theater and saw what actually was going on backstage.)
Hmmm, maybe you can answer something that's been nagging me (off and on, admittedly) for about a year. (Then again, any other "old schooler" probably can too..., so they can jump in!)

Don't know how far back you go, but the plane at the end... that used to have pyro effects on it as well, right? I swear when we went back in '89 and...like '91 I think, it "exploded" at the very end as Indy and Marion ran off.

Or, at the very least, there was fire involved on it.

But, I'm trying to remember stuff from over 20 years ago, when I can't remember what I did earlier today, or at the start of this post even... so I could be wrong and just imagined it.

This is funny because I recently downloaded a video from iTunes that someone posted and it was the full stunt show start to finish. I do recall in mid 2000's the plane did have more pyrotechnics then it does now. I believe the video was from late 2011 or early 2012 and I must say the explosion at the end was rather lame and has been toned down considerably

I hope this helps your memory or what you were try to ask :)

I was there in 2011, and that's when I noticed there was no pyro on the plane. Now that someone else remembers that there might have been, it gives me hope that I'm not just imagining things. Or maybe we're just imagining the same thing... spooky...

(I was there in 2009 and 2010 too, but didn't see the show. Before that was the aforementioned '89 & '91 trips)

No your not dreaming or seeing things lol the explosion is defiantly rather lame now in fact I remember a time when the fuel leak caught fire and the trail of fuel made the plane catch fire and that's what made the plane blow up just like in the movie I believe.

Also in the scene in the show when Marion is in the truck and it flips and blows up that explosion also used to be bigger I believe now it's almost nothing

Yes! That's exactly what I remembered. So I'm finally convinced I'm not crazy.

Ok, well, at least on that single point. There's lots of other stuff left up for discussion :p.

I thought I remembered it bigger, from the recent trip... but...

makes it look pretty small too. Maybe that's more a matter of perception and/or rose colored glasses (on my part)...hm.

I missed this earlier...
I experienced the DL Indy ride for the first time last May, and although it was cool, I don't think that it would be able to replace the show at HS. As Cheshire Figment said, the show is always full. If it's not broke, there's really no reason for Disney to fix it.

My DD(13) is a huge Indy fan. Her first experience with the characters was at the show, which she saw before she was old enough to see the movies. She would not be happy if this show were replaced with something else. In fact, here is her birthday cake from last month.

Of course, the Indiana Jones ride at DL was her favorite part of the trip there, as you can probably guess. ;)
That's an awesome cake! Much respect for your DD liking Indy. The movies (well, the first 3) are classics!
