I can't remember the website that I used, but I remember reading that there was a place you should go to in the morning to sign up to be an extra. Now I can't find it! Does anyone know where that is?

Thanks in advance for your help! My brother and I were picked to be extras many years ago, and I think my boys would love it!

Never heard of it. I have always seen them pick them out of the crowd before the show. Kind of a pre show. Also you have to be at least 18 as I recall.

They pick out the extras before each show--I was in it last time I was there. It was lots of fun. Just be enthusiastic (but not overly so) when they call out.

I, incidentally, did not want to be in the show, but my mom tickled me right as they asked for volunteers. I jumped. they said come on down. the rest was history. :confused3

Indiana Jones gets their extras from the audience just before the show starts. Get there a little early and sit down front. If you have a brightly colored shirt on and jump up when they ask for extras, you'll have a good chance of getting picked. As other PP said, you do have to be 18; no kids are picked.

I was picked as an extra from the audience a couple of years ago. They asked for the best screamer and I let out the most amazing scream of my life. The whole audience laughed and clapped, it was crazy. :) One of the coolest experiences of my life.

I had gotten there early and was about 4 rows up center. I tried it again another year, but was near the back and I didn't give it all I had, so I wasn't picked.

Got picked last year, it was a blast. I was the "deep evil laugh" guy my time around. We sat in the second row in the right center. :thumbsup2

Last trip we did the Indy show twice and in both I tried to be picked as an extra, but no luck. :sad1:

I'll try harder when we go back in January! ::yes:: Is there anyone (CM at entrance for example) I could talk to to increase my chances? :confused3

I wouldn't think so. The CM's at the entrance stay there so not sure how to get any kind of message back to the other CM's. They may not even know each other since they are in different roles.

My roommate got picked when we were there together, and we were in the front far left section. Having other members of your party who will clap/cheer/point/otherwise draw attention to the person volunteering definitely helps :)

Follow the strategies above and, with a little good luck, you'll be on that stage in no time.

I was picked on a trip in summer 2009 on a bet. I told my friends that, as a larger mammal of the species, if I got up and made some noise and danced, I would guarantee that I got picked. My friends didn't believe me, so as soon as they asked for volunteers I stood up and went crazy. I was the 2nd person they picked, and only because they started on the other side of the theater.

My friends still have my embarassing boom-chicka-boom walk I had to do on film, and never let me live it down when we talk about the trip.

I think you really just have to stand out. My husband got picked out of the crowd. We didnt get there all that early, but were on the far left side like 3 rows back. We were on our honeymoon were decked out disney with the matching ears, pin lanyards, and matching T-shirts.

My husband is 6'4" (probably 6'7" counting the mickey ears) and a redhead. He stands out. When he came out in the outfit, he still had the ears on and everybody laughed.

**spoiler**
My husband had never seen the show and didn't know the one guy was an actor. He was like...."I kept looking at him and wondering why he didn't sign the waiver..." :p
