Indiana Jones Ride - too bumpy?

Would love people's feed back on this one. I rode this a looong time ago (maybe ten years or more not sure) and came off with a sore neck. I have heard that they have toned it down a bit since then. I really want to ride it again as everyone raves about it and I really can't remember much about it. Love to hear ideas, thanks.

The only tone down I heard about was immediately after original opening, however it's been the same for many years now.

To me it's still pretty wild in some spots but not too bad. The middle seats might be a little less 'rough' since you aren't near far corners of moving car platform.

If it was causing you neck issues before I don't think much has changed now, so that's really a personal preference. Apologies not much advice, maybe watch POV YouTube videos to get somewhat of an idea since neck/back pain is hard to compare person to person. :earsboy:

FWIW, we rode yesterday in the back row, far left seating. The experience was the most extreme I've ever experienced for that ride. Now, I happen to like the rough ride ... kinda like getting the same position in Star Tours (last row, far left).

So ... perhaps ride experience is relative to location w/in the vehicle?

I saw on a video that every ride is different, from the way the car moves, to the lights, pretty sure they said it was random.

It sounds like they haven't changed anything, but I will say my most recent ride was way more pleasant than 5 years ago when I walked away with a terrible migraine from riding. We sat in the front row this last trip in January and I was on the far left in the "driver's seat). Not sure if the position was somehow better, but I didn't feel the crazy terror that I'd fall out this time and the bumps felt fun. I exited without neck, back, or head pain. It was much better than my recent rides on Matterhorn and Goofy's Sky School.

But it sounds like it can really vary. Perhaps I got lucky.

Thanks so much for sharing. I hadn't really thought about where you are sitting making a difference but that makes sense. I always sit in the back of Big Thunder as I love the extra thrill you get in those back seats but perhaps because Indianna Jones is more of a jerky, bumpy ride the front seat would be a little less intense. We might ask for the front seat and see if that makes a difference.

It's very, very bumpy. More than I remember from years past. I think it makes the ride totally unenjoyable. Skip it... you're not missing much, IMO

Ohhhhhh -- thanks for this! Maybe this is one reason we never seem to tire of the ride! :)

I believe the experience does depend on the seat position. Middle seats are the least jarring.

I don't think it has changed since the initial revision following the brain hemorrhage lawsuit by the young woman's family/estate from Spain, and I concur the side-to-side motion is exaggerated on the outer seats.
