Going into the Indiana Jones ride is a rope hanging down with a sign next to it saying "don't pull this rope". Does anyone know what happens if you pull it????

You hear stuff. Definitely do it!

I know that at Disneyland you'll hear voices from down in the well. Is there something similar in the waiting area for the Indy Jones Stunt Spectacular at DHS?

I was afraid they would make you part of the show and I'd never do anything that crazy!!!

Rope makes an unseen worker "fall" in the well. Yank a specific bamboo pole in the room with skulls on spikes and the ceiling starts lowering.

I am not familiar with this. Tell me more please.

ETA: I just realized the OP may be asking about the IJ ride at Disneyland, as is the poster I quoted. IJSS at DHS at Disney World has a well with a rope you can pull, but I am not aware of this room with skulls and a ceiling that lowers.

I pulled the rope because it was the first time I actually noticed it only to have a family walk by and the father go very sarcastically "because SOMEONE CLEARLY CAN'T READ THE SIGN" :upsidedow

If you pull on the rope, you'll hear someone down in the well. The spike effect was in Disneyland, removed at one point. In spike room, push on the bamboo pole that appears to be supporting the roof, entire roof and spikes crash down about a foot with sound effects.

Its in a long room with skulls on spikes, spikes coming out of the ceiling, and bamboo poles holding up the ceiling. One of the bamboo poles is bendy and bent a bit. If you grab it and yank on it there's a big rubbleing noise and the ceiling starts dropping for a few inches. It'll be the pole with the sign that says do not touch. Someone scared the bejezzus out of us the first time we rode so we return the favor. Its hysterical when you manage to catch someone off gaurd with it.

Sometimes the bamboo doesn't work. The rope is neat, you just hear some sounds. I'm also told that there is a parking lot sign up in the rafters in the room with the projector and screen. I think it was Eeyore lot that the ride took its space from.

this with my kids. My eldest who was about 9 at the time tried to stop me.

The Don't is crossed out on the sign which a lot of people don't notice.
