Rumor is going around that an Indiana Jones ride is coming to either Magic Kingdom or Disney MGM Studios. I hope it does come. I hear its pretty good down in Disneyland.

I'd be shocked if they did put the Indiana Jones ride in WDW. Mostly because it'd be way too cool! :cool1: We rode it when we were in DL this summer, and I thought it (as do many others on this board) that it would be a great addition to MGM. Plus, it'd make my DBF extremely happy. He loves the Indiana Jones movies. :goodvibes I'll cross my fingers that this is true, but it seems that this is a rumor that's been going on for a while.

I saw video of the one in DL and DH and I both thought why wasn't there one at WDW. Cool!

Maybe they could put at MGM where Who wants to be a Millionare was. Or did they put something else there? That is such an awesome ride!

The IJ ride at DL Paris is completely different than the on at DL. Both are good in their own way. If they do the Paris version, it would add another rollercoaster at MGM. If they do the DL version, it would be a Dinosaur type.

MGM needs a little more pizazz. IJ would be a great addition.

I suppose the Stnut show would be a goner for the Studios.

That's always been the popular theory if it goes to MGM.

Of course, as tjkraz hinted with such subtlety, this is a rumor that's been around for awhile. With *allegegly* the Monsters thing going in for Millionaire, it would seem unlikely that Indy the ride would be coming to MGM in the near future.

How about MK? To Adventureland? There have been rumors about Raging Spirits being considered there

Yep, get rid of the Indy stage show. It's old, and it just gives those dang cheerleaders a place to perform. {I'm getting flamed for that remark, I guarantee! :furious: }

I'm not up on where space is available, but certainly that would be an appropriate place for it. I get the impression they aren't really antsy to put a real E-ticket type attraction in MK when the other parks need attractions so much more, though. Just my take.

Its just that the Indy rumor is sort of like the Star Tours update rumor. Its gone around so many times that its being perpetually passed around. Its not a new rumor, it just never dies.

The rumor is true! It is bound for Walt Disney World in 2007!

The quote I found was on the following website:

http://www.theindyexperience.com/news_archives/august_2004.php

"Disney Corner.com has posted a list of coming attractions to the Walt Disney World theme park in Orlando, Florida. And interestingly enough, they have a new Indiana Jones attraction listed under Disney-MGM Studios. According to the site, an attraction called the Indiana Jones Adventure is set to replace the Epic Stunt Spectacular in 2007!

What could this possibly mean? Could this mean an Indiana Jones ride much like the one in Disneyland, CA? Well, we really don't know. This is the first we've heard of a new Indiana Jones attraction coming to Disney World, we'll be sure to investigate this rumor further."

Consider, though, that the news (in the post above) dates from August 5, 2004! Over two years ago. Even if there was once some truth to this - planning to close the stunt show three years in advance - plans could have changed a dozen times since then (and probably have).

In any event, no way is a new Indy ride opening there in 2007; there is just not enough time for construction. They could always close the show, of course, but then that rumor has been passed around so, so many times as well.

I do think the Stunt will go bye-bye. But I'm not sure they would tear down the theatre. I think its more likely a different show would go in there.

There is no rule that says you can only have one attraction based on a movie. Right now there are two Nemo attractions opening at WDW (different parks, but both Nemo).

MGM needs more attractions, so I would think that they would add the ride and not remove the show. This increases the capacity of the park and makes MGM closer to a full day park.

Perhaps down the road, they may rework the stunt show theater for a different type of show, but I really doubt that they would ever just shut it down.

Granted. But Indy is not a Disney property show I don't think its the same as two Nemo rides. I believe the Indy stunt show is gone regardless. I just think it would be replaced with theatre production so Disney could just plug a new show in the existing theatre.

Unless contractual stuff is worked out, you will not see the Indy ride in WDW. Construction would be over 2 years...so no way in 2007. These rumors have been passed around for years.
