My DS6 wants to have an Indiana Jones party for when he turns 7. All of the ideas I have are WAY too complicated for a kids party. Most of the stuff I've found they won't even get (30s/40s era clothes..). Any thoughts?

Just don't hand out whips as party favors, LOL. I like the clothes idea...maybe just child-sized fedoras for all, if you can find them.

A good old fashioned scavenger hunt would be a good place to start--maybe some digging through the sand type things? Digging through a pile of rubber snakes (makes my skin crawl just thinking about it)? Maybe hiding something in a single cup amongst other cups (thinking Last Crusade...)?

Just thought of another one...DW likes to make what is called Dirt Pudding--basically choc. pudding mixed with Cool Whip and topped with Oreo crumbs--it looks like dirt. She usually makes it in a (clean) beach bucket and includes gummy worms in the mixture to complete the effect. Maybe you could have the guests "dig" for treasures in the "dirt".

No whips. :rotfl: I like the "dirt" idea. We are going to get coin chocolates and rubber snakes for the loot. We're going to WDW in a month, so I'm hoping to get some insipiration there! Thanks!:thumbsup2

Go to family fun I rember they had a ton of ideas on simalar parties, I know they had a junjel party with vines snakes maybe some of those ideas will spark some Indy type ideas for your party! Good luck and have fun!:)
