Indiana Jones motion

So I know IJA is amazing, but what is the motion like? Would it be nauseating for someone who gets mild motion sickness? I love Test Track at WDW, Soarin' over California, Pirates, etc., how does the motion compare to these?

I've never done Dinosaur, so I don't have a good gauge.

IJA is a pretty fast ride and has alot of sharp turns. If you have mild motion sickness I wouldn't go on it :sad2:(especially after eating). popcorn::

Basically think of driving across a washboard dirt road at a about 35-40 mph, and then do a few sharp turns and a little swerving.

I agree with you there. It was just like riding with my dad in his pick up on a dirt road. However my Mom claims Indy was much smoother. :)

Fairycat: I think that is a great description of the ride! I want to do it again because it IS very detailed (altho I don't like the giant snake) but just don't think I can go through the herky jerky thing. Maybe when we are on the Ladies' Only trip someone can talk me into it . . . .

My friend, who is very touchy with motion sickness (can't ride star tours - even in the center seat) has no problem with Indy. She says it is because for most of it you can see some kind of horizon or where you are going.

My parents, on the other hand, won't ride it. It is the only ride @ the DLR they won't ride. This is mostly because it hurts their neck/back after riding, where as screamin' and soarin' are quite a bit smoother.

Either way, I think it's worth a try. My parents have been on it a couple times each - just to expereince it. Plus, then you'll know if you want to try Dinosaur when you go to WDW next! :)

I'm always afraid I'm going to hit heads with the person next to me. I rode it twice last week...I've never felt sick on it. The second time on this past trip though I did it on an empty stomach and felt queasy afterwards.

Years ago, I rode IJA with my mom probably 9 times in a row right before the park closed. It was great every time. I didnt get sick once.

This was the one ride I did more than five times. It was awesome and seemed just a bit different each time. It's really important to brace yourself well back against the seat, once I didn't and it wrenched my back a bit.
Loved the ride though.:thumbsup2
