I read somewhere that you can buy a replica of Indiana Jones' hat at DS. I was just wondering if anyone knows if they are still there, how much, what are they like, are they worth it? Any info on this item would be greatly appreciated. I'm considering it for a gift.

Thanks once again!!

I would be curious about this too. My DS has recently become an Indiana Jones fan, mostly because of the new legos that are out. My son would probably flip over one of those hats. Maybe he can dress like Indy for MNSSHP. Anyone?

I saw some kids walking around with them on on our last trip and I think I saw them in a kiosk outside the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. You could call WDW merchandise to find out for sure: 407-363-6200

yeah, at the shop outside the stunt show (when you come out of the stunt show go right). it is that little outside vendor type place with all the indy gear. If you don't see the child size hats, ask..they may have them in the back. We got them for the kids and dh a few trips back...then they all wore them to the show and met the stunt indy and had their pics with him...it was so neat!! my dh also got a replica whip...which they had to send back to the room he couldn't carry it through the park b/c they considered it a weapon.

eta: i think we paid almost 40/hat for the kids...they are not as solid/sturdy as the adult hat, but we bought them jan 07 and they still have them now and wear them all the time(literally 5 days a week they play indy), so they do last.

If you don't mind me asking, how much for the adult hat and whip? Was the adult hat better made?

Thanks!!!

i think the adult hat was not a heck of a lot more than the kids...maybe 50ish?? it is way nicer than the kids hats..it is more leathery and realistic looking. the whip, i cannot remember exact, but i know it was more than the hat because i said to my dh...are you nuts? it is a toy...but it really isn't a toy, it is a real whip, very nicely made. whatever it cost, it was worth the money because it is done so nicely. (it wasn't more than 70 i am pretty certain...it was a big splurge though)

Thank you sooo much! I love these boards, you can find the answer to ANY disney question.

We have passed by that vendor/kiosk on every trip, and we always toss around the idea of buying the Indy hats. They are really cute looking.

I know that someone already addressed the quality question, but they do look very authentic. :)

Just picked up one for my daughter in Epcot, over in the African area for $50.

Does anyone have any pictures? or is that asking too much.

Thank you for all the information!! Every now and then a question pops up about disney and since I haven't been since 1981 these boards have been amazingly helpful. Although I probably shouldn't judge until I get back from our trip... :rotfl2:

Thanks again, I can't say that enough!!

My DH bought one a few years ago. I think it was around $60 by the time we got done. I don't know if they still sell the exact hat or not, but I'd assume so.

This was taken with my phone. My daughter was at home and I wasn't sure if this was the hat she wanted or not. It doesn't look so leopardy in person, but they also had the solid brown color too. It snaps on one side and has the neck cord thingy. Please excuse my technical terms. ;)

For those of you who are interested, I just bought my hubby a hat at Cracker Barrel with the Indiana Jones logo on it. It is in the shape of a regular ball cap and comes in two colors. Khaki and army green. It looks great and I think they might be getting tshirts soon as well. The hat cost 12.99. They were selling the hats that look like the real Indiana hat last year, but I missed out on them. Plus, I think my hubby will be more comfy wearing this.

Probably not much help here, but I bought one at the Outpost in Epcot in 2003 for $48. They were still on sale there in 2007 but I don't know for how much. If you're making multiple visits to each park, check out both places. BTW, mine is a little different from Magickndm's pic, mine is plain brown leather, and has the Indy 'beat-up' look to it

We bought my son a Indiana Jones type hat in the Magic Kingdom in the gift shop next to the Magic Carpet Ride. We paid $40 and it is a very study hat. This is so much better than the flimsy zebra cowboy hat he was wearing every day last summer, so I thought it was money well spent.

Okay...I am definitely buying those when we go in November! The DIS is **almost** like being there.

Thanks for posting a photo! :goodvibes

It is one of my son's most prized possessions. He got one of the "official" felt hats in a smaller men's size (because he's only 9) in a shop in MGM near the entrance to Fantasmic, I think. The whole store is Indiana Jones stuff. I think we paid $45 or thereabouts.

I was just thinking about this the other day! I was watching Indiana Jones and remembering seeing some of the hats when I was younger. I really want one next time I go, If I like it that'll be my souvenir :]
