Trying to help a friend plan for Thursday, Thanksgiving Day at HS. Indiana Jones is a must see for her so I don't know whether to tell her to keep her FP for it or switch it to one of the thrill rides as her daughter loves those as well. I'm leaning towards FP either ToT or RNRC bc those lines will get long and stay long. How early should she show up to make sure she gets a seat at the Indy show?

We see the show during our visits at some of the most crowded times of the year (like Thanksgiving Day)... Spring Beak and Christmas... and never arrive more than 10 minutes prior. With the opening of Toy Story Land there may be more folks in the park now but I can't imagine any more than Christmas. I would say 15 minutes before to get a really good seat.

I don't think I've ever seen Indy fill up completely, but it has come close. The FP line gets in first and they have sections reserved just for them nearer the center. The standby then fills in all the outer sections.

I think if she can be at her Indy show of choice 30 min before the show, she should be fine. OR make all FP+ for early in the morning, and try for a 4th FP to Indy for later in the day once those are used.

Ok thank you both! My only experience was the first week of April last year and we were standing room only showing up about 10 minutes prior so I didn't want to goof up! I told her to allow 30 min prior which should still be shorter than the line for TOT or RNRC.

There's no point to getting a FP for Indy. Both lines are let in basically the same time, FP line just has a more direct path into the arena while standing snakes through the trees.

I've seen Indy be completely filled to the max multiple times. I recommend getting there about 20+ min prior to showtime

Last November (week prior to Thanksgiving) we missed Indy because it was full 10 min early. Get there early!!

Tell her to grab a funnel cake and rootbeer float from the snack stand and get in line about 20 minutes early. It's a nice way to make the time go by while enjoying a sweet treat

As long as she gets in line early, fastpasses aren't needed. I have done it both ways, with fastpasses and without. I have been seated relatively close both times. I just made sure i was in like 20 or so minutes prior without the fastpass. The only difference i really noticed was with the fastpass, i was in the first row and without, i was 15 or 20 rows back. For my upcoming trip I decided to skip the IJ fastpass and use it for a ride. I will just make sure i get in line decently early.

Was there during a fairly busy week in April and we walked in a few minutes after the show and had no problem finding a seat. I would definitely make a FP for the rides vs a show.
