If you use the fast pass for this ride, do you miss the room in the cue where you push/pull on a post and the room seems to shake? I want to scare my dad and brother-in-law ;-)

Also....can someone explain what exactly to look for again? I have only been on the ride once - many years ago. Thanks!!!

Oh - and did I spell "cue" correctly? My brain......

Nope, you don't miss anything inside if you fastpass. You pretty much just skip the outside part of the queue, like on Space Mountain.

Yup, the FP just cuts you thru to the inside of the bldg. You still walk thru the whole thing. FP for Indy only helps if there is a big outside line, you still have to wait once you get into the bldg.

That's what I can't stand about the IJ FP ~ it doesn't accomplish anything unless there's a line outside the building. It's still a long line once you're inside. Last April there was never a line outside the building so a FP was pointless. They need to change that IMO.

It's a room where there are bamboo poles with skulls on the left -- the pole you jiggle is in the middle. Also, you can pull the rope in the chest that says "don't pull" and you hear something break.

Sorry don't know the order of the rooms because we ususally are walking through. Hopefully someone else will remember some more details.

Enjoy teasing your family!

You walk thru the "collapsing" room before you get to the big circular room with the chest/rope that you can pull. Both are before the room where you watch the video with Sallah.

I agree that they need to fix the FP que, it's just not a big "cut" in anyway. You really don't save much time unless the line outside is huge.

You had me worried--I thought something had happened to the ride, LOL! Duh! :upsidedow

I'm kind of wondering if the bamboo pole trick even still works. We went on it multiple times in March (and DDs heard it go once when they were already past it) and I think 5 times this time, and however we pushed and pulled, it never did anything. Of course, there are always dozens of people pushing it as you go by.

The rope works, cause we did that one.

and... I dunno... we were always very glad to have FPs. It usually had one of the busiest standby lines, even though we were there for a couple of not-busy days. Standby was at least 25-30 minutes in the afternoon, and usually more like 45-60 in the evenings. It's still a hike through the inside queue, but I love the theming, so I don't mind.

Same here!

We tried shaking the bamboo pole when we went earlier this month, but to no avail :(.

Maybe it's just down for refurbishment season? The rope worked tho!

Btw.... I can't find the Eeyore parking lot sign in the screening room. Can anyone give me some pointers on that? :confused3

You have to wait for it to reset. If someone else has pulled or pushed it it takes some time for it to be ready again. BTW, everytime I've seen it taken out for refurb it's actually gone. There is simply no pole.

I haven't seen the Eeyore sign yet myself but I thought I read another post awhile back that said it was way up high in the corner and they only saw it because a CM shined a flashlight up there.

Usually the line inside IJA is not that long. It might take you 15 minutes (at most) to get on the ride from the time you hand over the FPs. Many rides take 15 minutes (or close to it) to board with FP including Space Mtn, Splash Mtn and Soarin.

Not that you are suggesting this, but one should not think that FP means you get to board with no line. Some rides have almost no line with FP. BLAB, RR, CS and GRR tend to have <5 minute lines with FP. Autopia is the worst in my experience with lines after FP of up to 25 minutes. Most of the rides tend to be in the 10-15 minute range.

I've been on Indiana Jones when the line was completely full/backed up inside the building. That was a looooong wait.

You will go through that area if you use FP but it's guessing game as to whether the pole will be there, be functioning etc... LOL!! I guess it's not very rugged.

Also, only because you asked, "cue", in this case, is spelled queue. :)

Me too....sucked big time, we wanted to get out of line but since we had used our FP's we didn't.....

+1

I thought the ceiling collapsed some where on Indy. I knew Indy broke alot but... :lmao:

My experience too, but I'll raise you another 15 minutes. It was painful. And that was with a 3 year old who was yearning to ride at the end of the day (lovely at twilight) but was tired and couldn't help but asking every 5 seconds why the line was so long and we were surrounded by children who were misbehaving by MY definition (but not their parents) so then I had to *quietly* explain that the rules for those kids were different than for my kid and so on and so forth. Oh man that was a long line.

I think I need to use FP on Indy. I'm not sure I have, as I tend to go at quiet times or I'm using child swap, but that was awhile ago and I think maybe the line enters the, er, line at a different spot than it did back then.

Thanks so much to everyone for your replies. I hope the pole is there, and that it works! And thanks for helping with my queue spelling......I would never have figured that out!
