This may have already been posted but I got an unbelievable rate for an Animal Kingdom Lodge standard room in July. CheapTickets ... $879.76 for 4 nights. That's about $220 per night! I'm paying about the same rate for the Marriott in Destin this weekend.

I used the promo code CINCO on Cheap Tickets and, voila! The discount is 17% on top of the already discounted rate. Totally worth it to stalk Cheap Tickets for Disney Resort bargains.

We've never been able to stay Deluxe before so I'm super excited. Our last trip we tried Value and stayed at ASMu which is a wonderful resort but the difference between ASMu and POR where we normally stay was a shock.

Great advice, thank you! One trip, I WILL stay at AKL - but not this time. Going with the grandboy and we have to stay in the Cars Suites.

But somehow, I thought you could not stack discounts. I'm not sure how you do that....

Congrats on the extra savings! AKL is an awesome resort. Have a great trip :wizard:.

Disney doesn't allow you to stack discounts, but third parties (Orbitz, Cheaptickets, etc) often run discounts of their own. These discounts can be applied in addition to the Disney discount when you book through them. Availability is like booking through Disney as not all resorts/room types are available with the extra discount, but if you can be flexible and don't mind booking through a third party (and paying in full at time of booking), the savings can sometimes be substantial.

MickeyNut1 made a good point about having to pay in full at the time of booking. I don't remember Cheap Tickets giving me any choices about that when I booked. When I book with Disney or a TA I usually just pay a deposit.

How did you find this discount?

When do you put in the code to see the discount.
Is the 17% off what they say is the lowest price ???

There is a hard to see spot for it on the checkout page. It will take an additional 17% off (CINCO).

That's nice. :cool1:We got a $230/night rate for July straight from Disney, using the room-only discount. AKL standard view rooms are the best deal among the deluxes, in my opinion. Looking forward to our trip- we might end up seeing one another's families, but not know.

I got it to work and it is a good discount but I have never booked with them before. Will I get a confirmation number that I can link into my Disney experience and then order fass passes at 60 days out ???
If I have to cancle how hard is that to do ??

I usually call Disney a couple of days after making the reservation and have them link it to MDE for me. Very easy. Don't know about cancelling, I have never had to cancel.

Well, CINCO is no longer working.

Anyone have an updated code? I was trying to change my current hotel that is booked under that code. I don't want to lose that discount. Dang! :(

Just do a google search for Cheap Tickets coupon or Orbitz coupon. They both list the current discounts right on their websites.

TAKEATRIP 16%

It's cancelable up to 5 days before the check in date with a $25 fee. After that you lose the first night's rate. Not sure if you cancel/change through CT or through Disney.

I've booked (and canceled - LOL) two different resorts through CT in a week. I didn't pay any fees either time I canceled.

I do always make changes directly through who I book with though. Both times on the phone.

I think I'm good with what I booked yesterday. Maybe.... :rotfl:
