Inclement Weather Transport at WL

As I sit here, it has been raining for almost 10 hours. It makes me ask -- what happens to the boat transportation from WL on a day like today? Do they automatically switch to bus transport or does the bus option always exist? Do the buses run to each park or do you have to transfer at TTCenter or DDisney?

The boats have a cabin so they run even in the rain.

There are buses to the parks from WL. To get to DD before 4:00 you need to go to TTC and change buses. After 4:00 there is a direct bus to DD.

Anyone else.

The only time we didn't have boat transportation to the MK from WL was one morning when it was very foggy. They had a direct bus pick us up and take us to MK. As soon as the fog cleared, they stopped the bus and started the boat again.

I was at WDW in September during Tropical Storm Gabrielle. At the time, boat transportation from the Epcot resorts to the Studios was replaced with busses because the waters were very rough. I would guess the same would apply to the Bay Lake resorts, since the water there seems even more susceptible to strong winds.

Thanks for the reassurance. In the past, the boats we have taken from MK to WL have all been open (which made it great when watching the fireworks one evening). Glad to hear they put direct buses on when they don't run.

Appreciate the responses.
