Good to hear that there has only been 1 death at DLRP and that was on RnR

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
On June 26, 2007, a 14-year-old girl lost consciousness on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Paramedics attempted to revive her, but she died before the ambulance arrived. A ride inspection showed no mechanical problems.[2]

Most accidents i have found that have happened at Disney sites is because of a reacurring health problem eg-heart problems.

Either that or totally idiocy (I'm referring to the people who climb over the walls of the park to avoid enterance fees and then have something bad happen to them, or things like that...)....

... I found that list ages ago before we went- Robert put a ban on me reading it before we went!!

It is good to hear that there has only been 1 death at DLRP.

However, I do worry about SM2.

I cotinue to ride it once every visit, but it's just WRONG!

It's a worn out coaster, with headrests that offer no padded support, and it's just too hard on the head.

Am I a horrible, evil person for spontaneously smirking?

There's nothing funny about someone dying, but there's a delightful morbid irony in getting run over whilst dressed as Pluto - by a float!

There was one at another theme park (not disney) where a boy lost his hat so he climbed over some 6ft fences to retrive his hat only to get killed by a moving ride.

Why didnt he just buy another hat?

As sad as it is, i have to say i also found the Pluto thing really funny. I just had a cartoon style vision of it in my head. It is pretty ironic.

Thats another thing i dont get- when people climb over and end up right under a coaster!! duh. Surely they must realise.

wanna be sick with fear...look up '6 flags' deaths (or accidents)...I did that the other day because I heard about the boy the got hit by a coaster...not going into detail but its horrific.....then I found heaps of stuff!!!! ...then I moved onto DLRP and only found the one mentioned above..thank god!!

Me and my friend have been searching recently on the internet for rollercoaster deaths...morbid i know lol.

Did anyone see that video of a little girl getting suck in a toy clutch machine? Now i know how to get a free toy lol.

oh my god !! I heard about the boy retrieving his cap and the girl on RnR but I didn't know about Pluto, it's wrong but I smiled. I have to admit I won't go on SM anymore, the last time I went on it my hair became entangled in the head harness bit and I thought I was going to be scalped ... it was awful but it probably wouldn't have happened if I'd tied my hair back. I have a total irrational phobia about rides collapsing, etc etc so I won't go doing any searches x

Make sure you don't have gloves on though Katrina, they won't have much grip

Last year a girl was paralysed whilst riding SM2! She went there with back probs to start with which cost her a lot...

I did have a little smile for Pluto but its still very very sad...

I know its awful to say but they really only bring accidents on themselves if they have reacurring health problems.

I swear if my brother goes on SM2 it wont be the ride that kills him it will be me (he has a congential heart problem with a pacemaker).

I went on SM2 this time and I will never go on it again lol. It was just such a rough ride - my ears were hurting when I came off the ride.

I wouldn't do a search on the net for these kind of incidents but I do find it "interesting" reading when I come across anything like that (like now that you've posted about them).

I have too....its January....I even tie my earflap hat under my chin like a 2 year old cause If I take it off I can feel my skull freezing!! I take my glasses off though cause if they flew off I would be semi blind Then you just shut your eyes so your eye balls don't freeze!!
