Incident at The Land with Handicap Stroller

On June 14th we were in Epcot and had parked our stroller up by the doors to the Land where they allow Wheelchairs to be parked. The red handicap tag was clearly visible on the stroller (we park it outside as that pavillion is always hard to navigate with a stroller so we walk it). We had lunch, rode Living with the Land and rode Soarin. When we came out the stroller was gone. I asked the woman manning the Land doors where it might be. She told me ALL strollers MUST be parked over by the Seas. She was quite rude about it. I told her it had a red handicap tag and she said it didn't matter-that only WHEELCHAIRS could be parked by the doors.

So I went over to the Seas (aka the sea of strollers :rotfl2:) to find the stroller. Almost went into a panic when I couldn't find it! The stroller attendent was helping me but we honestly couldn't find it for about 5 minutes.

This is when a very nice manager came out. He was very young (I wish I had gotten his name!). He apologized PROFUSELY (I didn't tell him what happened he somehow just knew), over and over and was so appalled that a handicap stroller was moved. He managed to find the stroller and walked with us back towards the Land, just going overboard with the apologies and asking what could he do to compensate us? I just said not a problem, accidents happen and to please tell the people working the strollers and manning the door at the Land not to touch the handicap strollers.

While this was not handled well in the beginning I do feel that manager went above and beyond in trying to make it right. Just had to share this here for others who may possible encounter this as well. I just love those CMs who are SO focused on making everyone's trip as magical and painless as possible!

It sounds like the rude CM not only was uninformed, but didn't liste past the word stroller.
Glad to hear the manager took care of it.

Yes, the manager was very helpful.

I only posted it here because luckily, I had my mom with me to help with my dd. I think if it had been just me and my dd, it would have been quite a disaster. I hope that misinformed CM was given the order not to touch the red tagged strollers.
