Incident at Disney Springs today??

Apparently, there was some incident near World of Disney according to the OCSD, causing an evacuation of the area. The Department is saying no gunfire occurred, though that is apparently not what witnesses are saying. As of now, things are safe. Anyone have other details?

Sheriff report says it wasn't gunshots. But bystanders saying it wasn't gunshots. However evacuation occurred. Possibly fireworks

News stations reporting of possible shots fired. Anyone with information.

Was a false alarm. Someone either yelled gun or thought they heard gun shots and called 911. Police determined no gun and no shots fired. They believe it may have been fireworks from a near by area.

Some twitter reports are saying it was a bar fight from house of blues. No shots but broken glass mistaken for shots. Others are saying fireworks.

UPDATE: "Rumors of a shot fired at Disney Springs FALSE. Several patrons at 1780 E. Buena Vista drive in fistfight only. Fight over. Order restored." - OCSD on Twitter

Yes, that is what Sheriff said. Someone passed a comment on the sheriff twitter site that they were there and they definitely heard shots, and cannot believe sheriff is covering it up too??? So it makes me wonder what the real truth is

Some claiming shots fired. Others saying someone yelled "gun!"...not a lot of info available yet. Possibly at House of Blues.

Would you please change the title to reflect 12/25/15 as the date instead of today?

I got a text from a someone around 10:15pm who said they were under lockdown at Disney Springs. I checked out twitter and saw several tweets from guests. Once given the all clear stores and restaurants went back to business as usual.

ORLANDO — Deputies who responded to an incident at Disney Springs on Friday night said there were no shots fired as was initially rumored.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said instead that several people on the second floor of Bongo's restaurant were involved in a fistfight.

However, patrons at Disney Springs on Friday night called it a scary scene, initially believing they had heard gunshots.

Some people on social media reported they ran for their lives, comparing it to a stampede.

Helicopters could be heard overhead, and businesses were put on lockdown, with no one allowed into or out of the restaurants and shops.

Deputies said the fight is over and that Disney Springs is back up and running.

One person was arrested for disorderly conduct.

I'm inclined to believe the sheriff's office.

I read something on Facebook from someone who was there and she said it was very scary and mass chaos. People were running and trying to climb over construction fences to get away because someone shouted something about a gun so everyone was scrambling. there were reports of no injuries, but people on Facebook were saying medical personnel were working like crazy treating people. Probably cuts and scrapes though, sounds like a glass window broke according to what I read, not sure what the truth is though, could be things get misconstrued.

I didn't see this threat till just now, I just posed a thread in the News section, I've heard it was a fight on the second floor of Bongos.

I merged both of these threads on the same topic and moved it to the Community Sub-forum.

ETA: make it 3 threads merged.
