kids are counting the days down until they get out of school less weekend 20 some days its offical out on may 14 th but they get to leave on the 8 th ofcourse and since they didnt use any snow days they only have 4 day weeks til its out lucky dogs,,

we are almost on the boat cmatt,, has anyone started working on there next vacation, because,, after all this high its going to be a long dry spell with drawal

Actually....I have started working on my next vacation CMATT...Had it planned before I knew I was taking this one. Unfortunately it is not Disney. We are going to the Beaches Resort on the Caicos Islands next Late May early June. Do I plan in advance or what.

There is nothing to say that I might not take another cruise before than though. We will see what kind of Florida Resident specials they have again.

Guess what? Disney finally got around to puttin the excursions on the website today!!! I think we've got more info than they do. You guys should put together your own excursion packets and make a few bucks!!!!
No docs here yet. Maybe the FedEx guy is stuck in the Pine Barrens. Hope the Jersey Devil didn't get my docs!!!!
Well, KW is still undecided but, we're beachin and snorkelin in GC and Coz. I'll get some shoppin in there too, I'll betcha!!
Got a big bonus at work!!!! The spending money is all there!!! Lucky gal, me!!

If I lived in Florida, I think I would take check out taking a few extra cruises. Maybe 3 or 4 night ones, on weekends and wait till about 2 weeks before and see if they have availability. Great prices then, except from Disney of course.

CMATT: What is that stuff about Outlook Express? We are planning to book another cruise on board, 17 May 2003. I think this is the only way to avoid the depression that gangplank will lay on ya'll on debarcation day? And, I am looking at a Lake Powell houseboat vacation in September around the full moon? Of course I still have to get a week in San Diego out of the way this year and this is before we cruise in May

I give up on the Kelly's stuff. The operator says nothing is wrong with the lines down there, but she will report it? I guess they will send a telephone person out there to tell them the phone is not working?

Bunnymom: Jeez, they are talking about flurries here in S. Jersey. I think Fed-EX folks have their trucks in the shops taking off the snow tires? I would give DCL until Monday then start screaming. We need to look out for our neighbors I will be in the Pine Barrens today, so I will keep an eye out for the Devil. If he has any small carboard boxes with him I will tell him to get them to ya. I won't get them from him because he smells like decaying flesh. Now Jennifersmith23 ...the Devil is not someone whom you would want to eat with...he just never cleans up

Phillies opener today, not going used to be a season ticket holder, until they ALL became Primadonnas. Especially, JD Drew?

I think I missed some posts so I will go back and re read them and get some more answers or comments. Looking for 1000 posts prior to the cruise, so any input here will be just fine. Are we (me) crazy or what?

It's getting to be crunch time...almost only 5 weeks left...Do you believe it? Still no docs here. I think my TA sux...They are INCREDIBLY slow. I think I would've rather paid more booking through DCL than all this foot dragging...

CMATT - whats up...do they not tweak things up where you are...

Joe - It takes more than a swig of boones farm to get me going even if I do start early...

Bunny - Yeah...I had a big bonus too....ALLLLLL gone...had to pay off credit cards and bills. Oh well. Have to wait till next year to really spend it.

Mjasp - You know if I could afford it I would go on a cruise every week. It is just so darned expensive. Will have to stick with the stuff that is free to pay for the big vacations once or twice a year.

Hey you guys! , my travel agent called today. Our docs are here (at least in the same state!). Now I just have to make the 2 1/2 hour drive up to pick them up! AAA won't mail them to us. I stomped my little foot and insisted on picking them up on a day my agent won't be in, since I'm already planning on being 1 hour in the right direction that day for a doctor's appointment! Guess that's the down side of living down here in God's country! Our "local" AAA office is 2 1/2 hours away!

I've finally got one excursion officially booked. We're on Captain Marvin's 10-1 1/2 day stingray excursion in Grand Cayman. Jennifer, is that the same as you? Also, tell me more about Xcaret, please. I want to do one of the ruin type things, but don't want to spend a fortune. I promised the 4th grade teacher that DD would write a journal and talk about the ruins! For Key West, I just plan to wing it. We all really like Jimmy Buffett, so I think we'll at least swing by the store, and I think I saw a pirate museum on one of the web sites, so that's also on the tentative agenda. How badly can we get lost? It's America????

I have to see if the smilies that I tried actually worked. I didn't get the box on the side that you talked about, but I've got the page up that tells that right things to type in. If it didn't work, just ignore the funny words in the middle of the post (lol)!

Slow day at work and I am the only one in today. Hope it stays quiet.

I took some personal mental health time this morning and filled out the cruise doc, checked plane tickets, checked rental car res, hotel res, etc and got most of the info into the Palm Pilot.

Should be able to make cruise chat tonight.

CMATT called Kellys Beach Club again, no response, nothing from their web page either... I am almost sure the name is NOT KELLYS BEACH CLUB, but THE DUVAL BEACH CLUB....this does not look good But if I found you in the Wilderness, then all is not lost till I say its a lost cause. Of course you can always book with DCL They have alreeady done the research, of course that is what you get to pay for

Lisa - We are only doing the 2 hour excursion with Captain Marvins... I wanted some time to shop and sit on the beach and we are going on the Nautilus sub in the morning.

As for Xcaret... it seems very cool although I've gotten different reviews from different people. Some say it was beautiful and fun, and some say it wasn't. I will form my own opinion though. It has got ruins, underground rivers, lakes, dolphins, butterfly gardens...A little bit of everything. It is rather pricey though at 99 for adults and 79 for kids (includes lunch and transportation) Check out www.xcaretcancun.com for more information. They have a very comprehensive sight.

Joe and CMATT - I'll open up Jennifer's Beach Club down in KW if you'll pay the money to go to it...lol...

Psiklops got me wondering about the Gulf Stream. It can be a little rocky when we cross it; but now we'll be moving with the Gulf Stream (well, actually against it). Think we won't feel it as much?

Jim RE meds for mal de mar:

Bonine and non drousy Dramamine and Ginger tablets have been recomened. Lucky, I have never needed them. Some folks will use ginger snaps to get the ginger.

There are the wrist bands and the electronic wrist bands. Electric wrist bands get great reviews.

The Med Center on the ship has a bucket of motion sickness tabs hanging on the door.

Had a dive student use the scopamine (sp?) patch with great sucess. Need to limit alcohol consuption with this one.

I got the generic motion sickness med from Walmart and it worked great. It also has dosages for kids as well as adults, so I only had to pack 1 med for the whole family.

Limit the alcohol?!? Forget the patch! I'll take a look at those wrist bands, though. I've been on a smaller ship with no problem, but I've also been on a 75 footer with a problem, so hopefully all will be well - literally!

So far, here are the excursions DW and I have:

KW: Sunset Sail: Western Union Schooner
GC: Island Tour and Snorkeling with Stingrays
CZ: Still haven't found anyone else wanting to do the Chichen Itza plane tour (let me know if you do), but fallback is the Tulum Ruins
CC: Castaway Cay Getaway Package - might do parasailing, but seems $$$
