Hey Jen... We should take a group photo and post it here to warn others on this board not to talk to strangers LOL.

Scott... Do they really have motion sickness tabs hanging on Med. door?

I'm with Jim, skip that patch. If things get too rocky we could always depend on Jack to get us through the rough waters.
Jack Daniels that is, drink enough till you awaken in calm waters.

5 more weeks YAHOOOO

Mjasp --- I tell my DD every day not to talk to strangers...lol.. Not to fond of Jack though...Give me some Goldschlager or some Baileys...Something with a little flavor...oooooh how about some Chambord (?SP) sounds good.

Talked to my TA today. They got my docs today and will Fed Ex 2 day them to me. I guess that means I will have them on Tuesday. Will have to wait...sigh

C-ya,
Jennifer

Yup there is a bunch of the sea sickness meds hanging near the entrance to the infirmary.

No need to see the doc just grab what you need. Pretty handy and considerate.

Hi Folks:wave:
Just for CMATT::D Kellys is a beach bar and grill. There is no cover charge and they have three grills in the immediate area. They know nothing about DCL coming to their place on May 12, 2002. However, if there was to be a bunch of crazed DCL folks on a tour they can handle them (probably lock em up!). They have one of the nicest properties around. Nothing south of them except Cuba, so if you want cigars and did not get any on the "Magic" then you can go there to get some. You cannot bring them back into the US. You must smoke em on the way back, if they let the "El Loco senor" out of the country. If you are not part of the private DCL party you would have no problem using the beach and grills or catching up with any DCL folks that have happened to pay for this bit of luxury. Because you really need to know this I will post the following on subsequent posts:p

Just want to keep you guessing!!

Don't like the Phillies, or MLB for that matter. I do like Bowa and Schmidt though, but for the most part they are all bums. starting with the management. If you lived in Philly you will understand this:rolleyes:

Saw the Jersey Devil today, yelled at me to bring the sun and warmth? I guess he did not like the snow showers....too bad!
He told me that he ate the mailman and the FEDEX folks were next????Hope you all got your docs...at least in the trucks.

:p Hey CMAtt still here? Take Bone Bus to the place or just walk, not too far.

under key west beach break, and tell me what it says???

Hola Folks:wave:
Here is the sum total of the response I got from the FINE FOLKS AT KELLYS BEACH CLUB AKA DUVALS BEACH & GRILL? Not even signed??????

Hi Joe,

We are a public restaurant. You may contact our G.M. , Sandy Marshall at (305) 295-6550. Thank you

Hi folks:wave:

from the DCL website. Guess you can't get much more specific or "official" ?

Key West Beach Break (3 hours)

Hit the beach! You'll travel via Conch Train or Old Town Trolley to the oceanside for a bit of R&R. Relax in your own personal beach chair and enjoy the splash of the surf and cooling sea breezes.

Adult Price: $45 (ages 10 and above)
Child Price: $25 (ages 3-9)†
Departure Time: 12:30 pm

I think this is a bit too much. I mean get the trolley for seven dollars and get off yourself, go eat lunch (see previous post) chill on the beach and walk around? Don't see the expense here? I think I can but a cheapo aluminum lounge chair for about 7-9 $$s and do my own thing? Oh well?

CMATT does this look ok for lunch? If not will try to find you something more reasonable....like the ship :D

I think the generic sea-sick medicine is bonine. When I went out to an aircraft carrier last year (one of the neat things about working for the Navy), I used the Dramamine II (which is bonine) and it worked great. Of course, I left it in my rental car, and had to go down to sick bay to get the normal kind of sea-sick meds (probably what they give you on the Magic). It didn't last as long, and I was a little more sleepy. Of course, the airplanes taking off over my head at 2:00 am might have contributed to that!! Oh the sounds of freedom!

I plan on getting another tube of the Dramamine II, just because I know it worked for me. I'll just break the tablets down for the kids.

I just told the kids, one month from Wednesday, we get on that plane!!!!!:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

Ok, got another question:

How much cash should we bring, and in what denominations?

I know we can charge the tips to the room, but I'm sure that some of the places we visit will only take cash (including any taxi rides).

- Jim

Jim,
we usually we carry about $200 in cash with about $100 in small denominations for tips. The rest in Travelers Checks. Use the Amex card as much as possible to get FF miles. Then use the unused Travelers checks to later pay off the Amex card. Thanks this reminded me to order the Travelers Checks. Usually get the dual signature ones.

There are plenty of ATM's in Key West, GCY, and COZ. ATM's on GCY will ask if you want US dollars or Cayman Dollars. That reminds me the Cayman Dollar used to be worth more than the US dollar. Don't recall the current exchange rate.

Pesos were about 8-9 per USD. ATM I used on COZ was a Bank of Nova Scotia and gave me Pesos. It was very close to the cruise dock.

So, the Jersey Devil's got my cruise docs, eh? He'll be sorry when he gets ahold of the likes of me!!!!! I'm on my way to the Pine Barrens!!!! Nasty old paper eater!!!! I'll have to borrow some F-16's from the DH and track him down!! Hell hath no fury like a cruiser scorned. (Especially when she wakes up to snow in April!)

Kelly's sounds like a wonderful place for lunch! All the color and flavor of Key West.
We're doin the sail and snorkel, hopefully we can hit it for drinks at least, maybe some conch fritters too!!

Well, everythings set except Coz. We're leanin towards Chakanaab. The 360 movies make it look very inviting.

Off to the stores to get the DS some cruisewear. He's only 9, but simply must look his best! Oh and a stop at Walmart for the seasick meds, too!!

Buenos Dias, hasta manana!

Terry:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
