Inaugural Disney Wine&Dine**1/2 Marathon** Post Race Discussion!

Speaking of the expo, do you think Disney will be selling Princess-in-Training tshirts for the February race??? What kind of stuff do they have at the "Disney Merchandise" table shown on the expo map?

Usually there are mostly items themed for the current race. They have shirts, jackets, travel mugs (my favorite), pins, and stuff like that. They may have the princess in training shirts but I can't guarantee it.

Here is a random question: will my GU get confiscated at security at the airport?

I have brought GU with me on planes before, no problems. Only because I buy it in bulk and have it already. At the marathon last Jan they gave out ClifShots at one of the stops, maybe Mile 8?

I think this is my favorite post on any of the threads so far! :lmao:

How in the world to we fit it in???? Work, kids, household stuff :surfweb:
I've been taking an hour of vacation time from work every other day just to get some training in!

;)

:scared1: Here I was complaining about my busy schedule. I can't imagine training while juggling work and kids! Go you!

Here is a picture of my shirt... I hope you can see it ok..sorry its kinda dark and yes thats a turtle I drew haha

Very nice! Or as they say in the UK, that shirt is mint! :thumbsup2

I really doubt it. If it does you can get some at the expo.

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up.

Got our bib #s for our 5 relay teams: 10466, 10470, 10471, 10473 & 10481.
I enrolled us all together with the same anticipated finish time even though some of us were much faster.

I am very disappointed that none of the attractions will be open during the post-race party. For EE and TOT after-parties they always had the best ones up and running.

I am having the craziest pre-race anxiety setting in. Yesterday, I was completely anxious my entire run. I kept waiting for a dog to come bite me or a car to hit me! I don't usually feel jumpy, but I think I am terrified that something will happen and I won't get to even start. It's official...I'm crazy.

I received my email with final race instructions!
Half Relay
Half
5K
Kids Run

In the email it has a sign up for runner tracking. I am able to track my friends running the Half but unable to find those running the half relay. :confused3 I have an email out to them to get it fixed. I'm getting excited! It's really real and almost here!

I'm pretty sure the email said runner tracking is not available for the relay.

I'm getting excited too - I think I'm going to start packing this weekend. :yay:

just put it in your 1 quart ziploc bag of liquids and you will be fine. As long as it is 3oz or less (which it is) you will be fine. I did this last year on my flight to DL.

This is what I did a few weeks ago for the DL half, and it was no problem. Thankfully, they've gotten better about "medical items" not having to qualify to fit in the bag, so I don't have to worry about getting my inhaler to fit. I just send that through in the bin outside of the little bag of liquids.

One week from now I will be on the plane heading to Orlando...as a first timer I'm starting to get my doubts about whether I have trained enough. My hubby thinks I'm nuts b/c so far this week I ran 7 miles Mon., 8 on Tues., 7 on Thurs. and hope to do a 10 mile run this weekend but with the kid's sports schedules I may not and that's what freaks me out (the "what if I don't do another 10 mile run, will I be prepared for the race" thoughts)

As for sickness, both my office and hubby's has the sickness going around. Plus, tis the season for the kids to start bringing home the germs from school. Just wish I could be in a bubble for the next week to avoid it :lmao:

I do that just cause they have a tendency to leak otherwise. But I never pull them out of my carry-on either.

Come to think of it 2 of the last 3 trips I have not pulled out my liquids either

Just keep a positive attitude and youll do great :goodvibes We have had a lot of people out at my work and I spent the evening with my mom and now she is SICK today :scared1:

I have had trouble getting in my last few runs (leaving Monday for WDW for vaca then the race - I know I do things backwards). It has been HOT here in VA all of a sudden this week, 98 today!

This time next week I will be having breakfast at Boma. :)

I'm trying not to freak out about having not run since Sunday. Getting the flu immediately after Philadelphia was NOT in the plans. Hopefully, I'll feel better soon, so I can run Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Some how I am messed up. I will be on a flight from DC to Houston, anding just about NOW. Then driving 50 miles to drop off the business bag and pick up the weekend bag and DW and heading back to IAH for an early afternoon flight to MCO.
