Is there a bus running between Epcot and the start after the race/party is over? Where do people park that are staying offsite?

I second that question! We're staying at OKW, so we're driving, but don't know where to park. I'd prefer to catch the bus to the start and be at our car when it ends...

I don't see it posted but I suspect there will be parking at Epcot and transportation will be provided to the start of the race. Maybe someone will know for sure.

I would just park at Epcot and walk or take the bus to the Beach Club or Boardwalk Inn and ride the bus to the start since they are both host hotels.

You would have to walk (and enter the park) as buses don't go to Beach Club, Boardwalk, or Yacht Club from Epcot (I learned this the hard way when I had to meet a photographer at the International Gateway). Or I guess take the monorail to the T&TC and switch monorails to go to the Poly or just walk over there.

I am curious to see (hear) if they'll have a bus leaving from Epcot to the start area or if they'll have buses going from Epcot back to the start area. They would have to (well, I guess they wouldn't HAVE to) do something like this for the people that aren't staying at WDW. What do they do for other Disney races? Do they usually start/end in the same area or do they transport people back to the start?

I assume that they will after the race, for people who don't want to walk at 3am back to their resorts.

I'm sure they will for the host resort (Beach Club) going to the start/Expo. I was talking about there is no bus that will take you from the front of Epcot to the BC, YC, or Boardwalk to be able to then take a bus to the start area (so you can't park your car at Epcot and then take a bus to BC, YC, or Boardwalk, you would have to go through the park to take a "host" bus from the BC). You would have to walk through Epcot to get to Beach Club to take their bus or maybe they will have a bus running from the front of Epcot to the start area for the offsite/driving group (if any of that makes any sense).

Although maybe they'll just have CM's escort people back like they do in the morning before Epcot opens from BC, YC, and Boardwalk since people will be in World Showcase that night when the race is over. It'll be interesting to see how everything goes! I'll be driving since I'm staying at AKV.

Yes, you would have to enter the park and walk through the International gateway. If someone doesn't have a park ticket that day or has a non-parkhopper they used at a different park I would park at Epcot and take the bus to POR since that is the closest host hotel that is not on the Boardwalk.

I will check my email at the office but I thought I asked about buses to the start and they said they would have transportation from DHS to WWos. In that case you would just park at Epcot and either walk through the IG and take the bus or walkway to DHS or bus it there from Epcot.

I think you did as I think I'm asking the same questions . I think I'm just worried that once I'm there I'm not going to know where to go. But it is good to know even if I don't park in the 'right' place at least I'll be able to figure out some way to get there!

I am not sure BW is one of the host resorts, but BC is. I was planning to walk to BC and get the bus. I guess you could also park at the BW lot and walk to BC. Or maybe even park at BC?

As to time to get there, I would plan for at least an hour before.

Our plan is to park at Epcot, not sure if we're going to walk through to BC or take the monorail over to the TTC/Poly. Going to drive back to OKW afterward.

I'm not completely sure yet but probably around 2 hours.

I checked and didn't get anything about a bus from either Epcot or DHS to the start but for some reason I remember reading somewhere that they would have a bus to the start from DHS. Maybe someone else remembers for sure if that is the case.

I am staying at SSR. First thing in the morning I thought I would drive my car to Epcot and take the bus back to SSR. My car would stay parked all day at Epcot but then at the end of the night it is right there for me.

When I’m ready to head toward the start take the water taxi from SSR to DDT and get back on and head to POR to take the bus to WWOS.

Any suggestions? Could I make it easier?

You could swim to POR thereby eliminating the boat ride to DTD .

That sounds like a great plan to me! I love the boat ride much more than taking buses.

A taxi would certainly be easier from SSR to the start, as you wouldn't have to wait for the boat and then the bus.

Now I am REALLY confused about what I am going to do day of the race!! I was planning on either taking a cab from POP to the start and my DBF taking a cab to the finish line party at EPCOT....or renting a car to begin with, having him drop me off at the start, and then go to EPCOT to park? Or should I have us go to a host resort and go from there? I am most worried about him since its his first trip to disney. I havent thought this through (obviously) and now I am even more confused!! Let my panic begin
