We finally booked the MV cruise! Schools published next year's calendar and the date change worked out just perfectly. Unfortunately, we're cancelling the Med one at the end of summer, but I'm happy with the change.

It's myself, DH, my two boys who are now 10 and 7, and our DD who's almost three.

My only issue will be keeping this a secret from the kids so I don't get the daily question of how many days till we go? I don't think I can put up with that for a year and then some.

Welcome aboard! We are Noel and John. This will be our 6th DCL cruise. Next cruise is our September 2011 WBTA. Before that cruise, we plan to drive to see the Fantasy being built in Papenburg.

I agree that keeping the cruise a secret until a few weeks before is a great idea as who needs heaing "is it time to go yet?" for over a year is a bit much!!

I don't know how you all keep the cruises a secret. LOL! My kids know the dates that the new cruises are released and I have gotten friends to pick them up that morning so that I can be on the phone before 8 am to call DCL to move our bookings since they are not online for gold CC. When they get home I tell them right away when we are going and who will be cruising with us. Maybe because they have gone so often they no longer ask that question. Of course, at the moment DH doesn't know that I have moved our 6/26 cruise to this one.

After a little debating, we booked the Fantasy Maiden also. So far there is 4 of us, though my inlaws neighbors are considering booking.(Still waiting on their phone call so I can walk them through.)

2 quick questions since I havent read the entire thread. (Ill do that tom when Im at work).

Is there a list of whos going names/screen names etc. I remember seeing something about a Facebook page.

How many are staying the night before at 1 of the Port hotels, and any one interested in doing a dinner at 1 of the rest out there on Fri night? We did this on our Oct cruise and there was about 30 of us at Grills for dinner.

This will be my 9th DCl and my wife and kids 4th
Event hough we live less then 2 hours from the port, were going to book a room at CIS and spend the night there. Its a littel easier for us that way.

The list of DISers going with IDs, real names, kids & their ages & room numbers is being kept up to date on FB. Search for "DCL Fantasy" and a few will come up. Our group is the "DCL Fantasy Maiden Voyage Cruisers." PM me here with your name so I will know who to look for. We have gotten a few people who are not on the DIS boards requesting to join but that group is just going to be for those of us in this meets group.

Since the kids will be on their 3 week break during the cruise we will be spending a few days at WDW before the MV and probably drive to the port early Saturday morning...though as the time gets closer who knows what the excitement will make us change plans for. LOL!

I just added your info to the group list. It is growing quite a bit!!! DD Kaitlyn will also be 11 1/2 on this cruise.
