In your opinion, is Fantasmic worth the price?

I have gone to Disneyland a countless amount of times since I was 2 years old, however I have NEVER seen Fantasmic. I hear incredible things about it, but haven't seen it mainly because by the time we get there we can't find room to stand or sit.

Well, we have a trip planned for early December but I was wondering if we should invest in the $45 for either the dessert buffet or the premium waterfront seating. A few sidenotes are:
-I will be 8 months pregnant when we go so I know I won't want to stand for too long.
- I'm sure we'll be very tired by then because we will be getting to DL when they open since we're staying at the DL Hotel the night before.
-We're really not big dessert eaters, but the thought of having a reserved seat is very appealing.

In your opinion, is $45 worth it?

If yes, which would you say is best - the dessert buffet on the balcony or the premium waterfront seating which includes a Fantasmic giftbox with a dessert sampler inside? The CM I just talked to says she prefers the waterfront seating and says it's a better view, but she said most people are die-hard balcony fans, mainly because it's so secluded.

What do you all think????

No, it's not worth paying that amount of money for a show you can see free, BUT with you being 8 months pregnant I would highly recommend it! You certainly don't want to have to worry about staking out a spot in advance and having a place to sit during the show will also be a must in that late stage of pregnancy.

I'd take whichever you can get; the balcony books up quickly. I haven't seen the waterfront seating but I've heard it's a good view.

Good luck, whatever you decide! :)

As of now F! is not scheduled to be showing after Nov 2nd. Some with insider connections say it will be extended until Jan, but I have not heard anything official.

However, If it is showing in Dec, there is a good possibility we will be doing the Balcony. I WANT to see it from the balcony. I've never seen it either. I have heard the you can get a seat at River Belle Terrace on the outside patio a few hours early, eat dinner, and stay for the show and the seats are quite nice.

Even if you get the balcony or reserved seats you need to get there about a hour early if you want to be the first seated (front row).

I did the F! balcony seating this summer and it was totally worth it.

We arrived in the gallery courtyard about an hour prior to F! We had not intended to arrive so early but the New Orleans Square area was a mob scene and I just wanted to sit down and rest. People had started staking out positions a couple hours early. There was hardly any room to even walk. If you don't want to hold a spot for two (or more) hours, do the F! seating.

We found some chairs in the courtyard and sat on them in line (we were first in line). Half-hour prior to F! we were seated on the balcony (front row center), got our drink order taken, and got first dibs at the dessert buffet -- lots of yummy desserts plus fruit, cheese, and crackers. My suggestion would be to have a late lunch and then do the buffet for dinner.

We were willing to pay for the balcony but all they had was water front. $45.00 pp for a box of deserts didn't seem fair.
