We were there Nov. 37 through Dec. 12 and were able to get them at Le Cellier. We had gotten Virgin Pina Coladas last year at Ohana's but our server Ed said that was last year, this year it's a different story. We ordered them anyway because they are so good but still I wonder, if we could get them at Le Cellier than why not Ohana's? We didn't ask at Sci Fi..I thought about it but we were having the ribs for lunch and it was all just to much of the good stuff for me !
As TSM1993 indicated, it's up to the server. Generally, they're NOT included on the Dining Plan. Where you're able to get them included on the Dining Plan, the server or the restaurant is being generous and bending the rules for you.
In Apr 06 we got them at Chef Mickeys, and in Oct 06 dh got one at Le Cellier. Both times when we said we were on the dining plan, the server specifically pointed out the smoothies and said they were part of the DDP.
Last week on DDP for an adult TS at Le Cellier we could have milkshakes (I think there was only one on the menu - chocolate raspberry maybe?) or a smoothie, also at Sci Fi for adults....for kids TS we were allowed to substitue a milkshake with the meal for a dessert at Sci Fi and The Plaza.
We also had the raspberry chocolate shakes at Le Cellier. We could have had smoothies also, I can't remember all flavors but there were several. That was the only place our server offered them as available. We also were able to get smoothies for a CS meal at Pepper Market at CSR. There we asked if we could get them and were told yes.
Got smoothies at Concourse Steakhouse, Kona Cafe, Coral Reef and Grand Floridian Cafe. I was told smoothies were not included at 1900 Park Fare (dinner).
In November, we were able to get milkshakes at WCC (adults only); smoothies at Kona, cappacino freeze at LeCellier, and smoothies at Pepper Market (adults only). In all cases, the waitress let us know that it was okay to order those. The menu at 1900 Park Fare states that milk shakes and smoothies are extra.

I would want to complain since we ended up ordering and paying for them anyway but if it's up to the server than that figures because we had a lousy server . We were so looking forward to Ohana's as it was one of our favorite meals last trip but service was lackluster and any pleasantries seemed a bit sarcastic. Oh well, better luck next time. Those chicken wings were still to die for anyway !

Well, I wouldn't hold "not giving freebies away" against any server. Freebies are really something which no patron should not come to expect. (Of course, your server still could have been lousy for other reasons.)
We were able to get milkshakes at 50s pt and Le Cellier. In fact, at Le Cellier, the server was "encouraging" us to order one of the specialty drinks. Since they only offer the choc-rasp. milkshake and I told him I don't really like raspberry, they made me a plain chocolate one!
When we ate breakfast at Boma back in December 2005, our server said we were also allowed to choose a specialty smoothie drink. DH chose the strawberry raspberry, while I chose the mango. Both had whipped cream on top and were delicious! Not sure if they still allow this on the DDP.
I was very excited to see they had a machine at the Mara where you could get the same smoothies in a small souvenir cup.
Thanks sooo much everyone! I really appreciate the replies! I figure we will try and ask at most places because my hubby is a milkshake/smoothie kind of guy so it can't hurt to see if we can get them! Hope everyone has a great holiday!!!!
