Yes, I know where I'll be eating at IOA---Mytho's, but what about US? I love both pub food and seafood, but if you had to choose, which would it be in US? Which has the best food, the best service, etc? Oh by the way, we don't drink, so the drinks wouldn't factor into our choice one way or another.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I wasn't overly fond of Finnegan's. I LOVE Lombard's. It is more upscale than Finnegan's and more comfortable, and in my opinion has better food. Lombard's offers a true break from the parks.

Lombard's without a doubt!!! :thumbsup2 Finnegan's is a "pub"; I found the food just your average greasy fish and chips. Lombard's is a quiet nice sit down meal in a wonderful atmosphere and the food is excellent IMO.

jewell, check out the UO menus and see which place has the food you prefer.
that is what i do when i am not sure.

finnegans is louder than lombards.
lombards has a lovely view and away from the walk way traffic of guests.
finnegans is just the opposite.

i have been to both places.
i like finnegans for the variety. lombards does have great food you can leisurely take your time with.

I'm a Finnegan repeat customer. Lombard's was nice but I didn't have a memorable meal. It does have a prettier setting. I like the salad entrees at Finnegan's a lot.

yea, i like finnegans a lot also. i eat there two times per each visit.

just thought i would be objective and let jewell check out the menus and she can base her choice on what is good for her group.

Finnegans. Love it. We had Scotch eggs, Bangers and Mash, and Fish and chips. Kids loved it too. There was also music in the pub section and people dancing. It was a hoot!

Finnegans is a must do for us every trip. They have much more to offer than just fish and chips. The chicken pot pie (I believe they call it something else) cobb salad and mixed grille are all very good.
Lombards OTOH is on par with Red Lobster or any other cheap seafood chain.

Haven't been to Finnegans so can't compare but we did have a lovely meal at Lombards back in February :thumbsup2

Oh gosh you guys you make this so hard!!! Sounds like both places has it's fans. I did check out the menu and both looked good (that's my problem, I love all kinds of food!!!). By your comments I think I'll probably choose Lombard's, mostly because of the quiet setting. As always thanks for your comments!

Wilma-Bride thanks so much for the pics! On the menu that was update the desserts weren't listed, so I was especially glad to see those pictures!!!! :woohoo:

wilma-bride, i keep thinking where's fred when i see her name
since you posted those desserts, i think i will go to lombards and order all 4 of those desserts one day.

no other food, just get the desserts........

i have been known to order dessert first in a resturant and if i am still hungry, then i order the entre.....

Hi Mac- I am the same way- I usually just order an appitizer for my meal to get to dessert faster.
Wilma-bride- would one of those desserts be banana or coconut? I LOVE anything tropical- coconut, banana, pineapple -you name it I love it.

Have breakfast and dessert one evening at The Islands Dining Room. I ALWAYS want one of everything there. Last time had french toast that was to die for with tropical fruits. I also had a coconut pineapple dessert that was amazing! Emeril's does well with the tropical fruit desserts too at Tchoup Chop.

We ate cheesecake at Finnegan's once and it made us gag it was so old. We haven't been back. They gave us new cheesecake but didn't even reduce the bill.

My son still can't eat cheesecake and it used to be his absolute favourite.
