IN. to FL. Memorial Day weekend

Thinking of moving trip so we arrive on Sunday and miss most of the Memorial Day crowd but am wondering how bad traffic will be leaving Indiana on Saturday morning about 6:00 AM and heading south.
am at the point I may scrap the whole trip if I can't work something out. Don't want to waste 3 days waiting for the crowds to disipate from the holiday weekend.

If we could afford it right now, we would be on our way to the Fort even if we never made it to the Parks!

I like your attitude guardwife, I think the fort is going to be the best part of the trip. On the other hand I do see Tigger's point, 900 miles is a long way. Thankful we are closer than that and it's not an issue.

Well after much discussion we are moving the trip so we arrive on Sunday instead of Friday so we only have one full day of the holliday to deal with. Besides DS wants time to ride his bike around FW so if the parks are packed on Monday he will get his wish.
I love the Fort more than any campground I have ever stayed in. A disney trip wouldn't be the same staying anywhere else. My problem is I am hard to entertain. Unlike a lot of campers we live in the country with lots of room and a deck that overlooks a lake. So when I go somewhere I need something to do besides sit and enjoy the scenery.
Now when DW whins that big lottery I do want to take one trip and stay at the Grand Floridian so we could check out that $2000 Suite
